This is a co that builds and owns renewable energy power plants (solar and wind projects) and sells the electricity directly to corporate customers through long-term contracts.
So unlike other listed renewable plays, which sell power discoms, CleanMax directly sells to corporates.
Cleanmax has ~12% market share in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) renewable segment.

For corporates, CleanMax’s model removes the burden of owning energy assets — eliminating risks around capital investment, maintenance and technology obsolescence and helps save ~30% vs grid tariffs.
In return: Corporates commit to long term PPA (avg duration ~23 yrs)

Financials: FY23-25 Rev up 26% EBITDA up 58%
~78% from long-term electricity sales which has very high gross margins of ~83%
22% from EPC services (this is when corporates want to own the energy generating assets) - this has lower gross margins of 15-16%

This is a capital intensive biz (As co owns the power assets)
But mgmt says their Net debt /Adj EBITDA at ~4.8x — lower than industry median (~5.6–5.7x)
Absolute debt on books around Rs 8,000 crore
Gross block / EBITDA at ~5.8x vs peers ~7.5x
Cash ROE at 18%

Current capacity: ~3.1 GW operational.
Additional ~2.9 GW under construction/expansion.
Nearly 43% of contracted capacity is linked to data centres and AI companies, a fast-growing demand area.
