An important update regarding the future of Arcane Atlas 🗺️✨
Hi everyone. We want to be completely transparent with you about how the project is evolving.
Lately, Arcane Atlas has seen incredible engagement and is being used heavily. However, there’s a downside: our cloud resource consumption has skyrocketed to levels we can no longer sustain on our own. On top of that, we've recently experienced bad-faith abuse from a few users exploiting the platform without any respect for the work behind it.
Building and maintaining these tools—learning to code things like the map editor from scratch—takes countless hours. And while some people love to complain about us using AI to speed up processes, the truth is without it, this project wouldn't even exist.
To keep the servers running without draining our own pockets, starting on the 9th of this month, we are making a change: each user will have 1 completely free map.
If you need more maps and want to support the project, we’ve set a super symbolic price of just €3 a month. What do you get with the subscription?
* Access to multiple maps and all advanced tools.
* Exclusive extra content that we'll be rolling out regularly.
* A variety of maps (from epic world maps to homebrew/dungeon maps), crafted by hand, not by AI.
* Above all, the motivation for us to keep creating and improving the platform.

Redesigned Map Editor: Create even more stunning world maps.

Enhanced Card Editor: Featuring new stamps, seals, unique fonts, and 100% original background papers! Plus, even deeper card customization (and don't worry, old background designs are still available if you prefer them).

Original Map Markers & Quest Designs: All new custom markers and refreshed quest card layouts.

New Store (Coming Soon): We are building a section where we’ll give away hand-crafted world maps complete with lore and history for your campaigns!

A quick note on the future:Right now, everything is 100% free, but maintaining and hosting the platform has real costs. In the future, we may need to introduce paid services to keep things running.
