Yesterday’s budget gave millionaires twice as much in a tax cut as the average worker earns in a year.
We’re not going to accept it. On October 1st, we’re taking to the streets.

Anyone who thought I was just pandering to extremist pensioners to get their vote should now be in no doubt that it wasn't an act - I really am that mad.
Charlie Stayt - Who has gained most from Kwasi Kwarteng's tax changes?
Paul Johnson(Institute for Fiscal Studies) - "Tthe only people gaining form this, in 3 to 4 years time, are those earning over £150,000 a year.. & the other 99% are going to be worse off..."

This week Jacob Rees-Mogg refused to rule out scrapping the 48 hour week which prevents workers from being discriminated against or sacked if they refuse to work over forty eight hours a week

I woke up thinking of all the public services we've been told by the Tories we can no longer afford.
Miraculously, in these straitened times, it turns out we can afford a massive bonus for the very rich AND a massive gift to the fossil fuel companies.
Austerity was a con.
It just dawned on me: as we head into winter, with poverty soaring, people unable to heat their homes, a new Covid wave starting, a bad flu season expected and the worst NHS staff shortage ever, the government are providing NO help. They chose self-enrichment. We’re on our own!
The next time anyone argues we "can't afford the NHS", please remind them they "afforded" handing another £55,000 a year to those already earning £1 million.
