I always tell people to never memorize their speeches nor read a written speech at an occasion. Reading a speech demonstrates how unprepared you are, and shows how you don’t even know what you’re saying. Let’s educate ourselves on public speaking.

The hardest part about breaking generational cycles is that your family or community sees your growth as betrayal. You're not getting drunk/high like they do. You're not lazing around like they do etc. Not repeating patterns like they do. And instead of being inspired, they're offended. Your growth simply exposed their laziness and stupidity.
