@chara_betty I love the world of the prequels and people talking about Lucas’ intentions got me to watch them again. I like some aspects of Phantom Menace, but beyond that they’re fucking awful. Almost couldn’t get through Revenge of the Sith. Nothing feels real.
@LookAroundCafe I’d need to watch the movie again, but I remember last section feeling different in its visuals and the way it was edited, which left me fairly confident it was a dream that they used to tie up loose ends.
@LinkCryptoChain@sufficientarian@PondTalk It was just very satisfying to me how everything was woven together. The backrooms could’ve easily fallen outside of the themes of the film, but all the setups are paid off and the more drawn out sequences feel earned.
@LinkCryptoChain@sufficientarian@PondTalk Not really about mental health, more about the nature of memories. From the very beginning Clark tries to correct his past mistakes in his head instead of learning from them. I think it's a tight narrative with great visuals, also open to many other interpretations I've seen.
@slim3puppy@AquaSoEpic When he’s introduced again we see the drawings and him hiding behind the wall, we’re not even sure if it’s him. From that point on you’re meant to be questioning what went down, which you wouldn’t be had they just shown it.
@slim3puppy@AquaSoEpic The whole point is that we see something's off about Clark but don't know what it is. What you're suggesting would ruin the pacing and frankly the whole movie.
@metaplexmovies I thought the idea with the dialogue was cool. The first therapy session is a distorted, misremembered version of an argument. Clark keeps going through it and getting nowhere.
@simonsays333225@azarias416 How is your stupid ass taking it out of context when it's right there: "I was taught words was nothing more than a sound IF ever they was pronounced without any intentions."
@SkinnyTuna@EpicMasterChief@chilledspectre Snare in particular sounds like ass but I’d say the songs range from passable to good. Dramatic Turn would’ve worked much better as the self titled album though.
