Well, as I woke up today, I thought I’d have a look at finding some pictures of the penmaenmawr hunslets. That would be something interesting to post, right? And something I could use to refine my 00n3 model! Well, instead I found these, quarry hunslets from Warwickshire
Here’s the track plan. Blue is 12mm, red is 9mm, and green is 16.5mm

The engine behind is a rather large DEMK5, though it’ll be reclassified soon. While it was designed for 15inch it’s honestly large enough to comfortably be a 2ft engine. Funny large thing, though I’ll have to design a smaller thing using the same chassis.
09 is the modelling of 15inch gauge railways in 1:43.5 on 9mm gauge track. With a lack of the right chassis available for the planned 0-16.5 section of my beach layout, I’ve modified the plans. I’ve previously referred to this scale as On12, but no longer

09 isn’t 009, though it runs on the same track. We have the foundation of a 009 wagon, should I wish to make them. I am rather proud! Of course, i don’t currently need 009 wagons, but that’s by the by.

However, today, I succeeded. Enter, my first 09 wagon! This one’s designed to carry lobster pots, and runs perfectly, using peco 009 plastic wheels. A bit light, and lacking couplings, but i’m honestly thrilled it’s worked!

Of course, we’ve had more success in On30. These turned out just fine! Unlike the red ones, these have space for couplings, detachable bodies, and are far more robust

Ever since I started 3d printing last year, I wanted to make 9mm gauge wagons. If I could just crack the details, I could easily mass produce 009 wagons at a fraction of the cost of normal ones, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. The best we got where the red ones.

I guess i’ll have to do similar for GWR. I live in sussex, so idk where the closest they serve is. Dorking deepdene? Probably. In retrospect, and even at the time, it was a great time.
Might make some video like the hst tribute, but just for southern. I like the music. I remember southern’s livery making me feel happy, even during some of the harder times of my youth. The colours calmed me, even last year. The new livery genuinely makes me feel ill. Repulsive

From now on, I’ll model up to era 3, and era 11. This covers my much-loved pre grouping companies, grouping companies, and the ’modern‘ era, which will end now, I suppose. 2016 to 2026.

It’s not patriotic, it looks like a parody of patriotism. Southern has the prettiest livery ever, and I’ll die on this hill. Literally. I’d rather be shot than travel on trains with such horrific liveries. Welp, guess I’ll be taking the car from now on.
