@abd_jabbar @PulmCrit Yeah always many confounders in CC research but logically risk of infection would be related to number of times a hub is accessed, which would be related to number of drips. Anyway, with CVC as with meds, using the lowest effective dose (in this case lumens) is probably best.

@abd_jabbar @PulmCrit Yeah exactly my first thought as well. In the last year I think I've needed to place two quad lumens in the MICU. Having quad as standard might risk more infections, although I don't know if the studies on this topic adjusted for total number of drips as well.

@Dylon_WJLee I've always wondered why despite it being illegal to discriminate based on "national origin," this has never been applied in the context of hiring IMG residents. Even highly competitive IMGs continue to be disadvantaged at the entry stage purely due to a visa requirement.
