Tip Of The Day:
Sometimes you have to carry the blame, keep your mouth shut, and leave. No courtroom. No revenge. No 47-paragraph explanation. Walk away. Time has a funny way of exposing who was telling the truth.
At some point, you’ll have to disappoint others to live a life that’s honest to you. People-pleasing will drain you, not save you. Set boundaries. Choose your peace. You can disappoint people and still be a good person.
One thing life has taught me is that not everyone who starts with you is meant to finish with you. Some people are part of your journey for a reason, and learning when to let go is just as important as knowing when to hold on.
Please raise your daughters to have hobbies, interests, and academics...so when they become adults and middle-aged women they have something to talk about besides a man.
@Kabugo_ Until you understand what demons you're fighting, you waste time fighting. So many things happen to us in life but we never understand where it's coming from
On your mother’s side, what was the highest level of achievement any one has ever reached?
How about your father’s side?
Now you know that the battle is not against your brother or sister but against a system that has lasted generations.
no one talks about the personality shift in your 30s where you no longer want to be impressive you just want to be rested, regulated, and completely unavailable to anything that drains you
One thing people can’t take from me is my heart is pure. If I rock with you, it’s genuine because in reality I don’t need shit from anyone but loyalty and respect. I show up. I show real love. I don’t do nothing with ill intent. I give grace and that’s why I’ll forever be blessed
Study yourself. Your thought patterns. Behavior. Habits. Compulsions. Anxieties. Insecurities. Addictions. These are the very things standing between you and the life you actually want to live. Sit with them. Once you face them, the unconscious becomes conscious. And when you finally understand what they are and how they control you, you awaken. You become... unstoppable.
One of the healthiest things I’ve learnt over the years is to allow people reintroduce themselves to you, even those closest to you. Familiarity shouldn’t become a cage. People change. Love them for who they are now, not just who they were then.
This generation of Black people is honestly alarming.
It’s shocking to see people align with narratives that have historically worked against their own interests, all for the sake of trends, clout, or short-term validation. At some point, we need to question whether we are thinking independently or just echoing voices that don’t have our best interests at heart.
Some people inherit wealth. Others inherit survival. Then society asks both why they are not running at the same speed.
Nobody chooses their birthplace, parents, passport, or starting capital. Yet adulthood often judges everyone by the finish line.
Never let a woman redesign you into the man she thinks she wants. The moment you abandon your identity to keep her happy, you stop being the man she fell for. Grow, improve, evolve, but never become her project. Attraction dies when you lose yourself trying to earn her love.
@penuelist_ If all crimes were given this much attention the country would be in much better shape. On the flip side, crimes like these are actually common place, they’re just not reported. Tip of the iceberg.
Date someone who makes you want to leave the house. Someone who wants to explore cities, try new food, take road trips, go to concerts, visit museums, learn something together, get lost somewhere new and collect memories.
A relationship should be more than dinner and sex.
Sometimes you outgrow a friendship without anyone doing anything terrible. Your priorities change, your interests change and your lives move in different directions. Not every ending needs a villain.
