Anime is just too popular and they have diluted everything to cater to people who just dont need anime in the first place.

The Irregular at Magic High School is one of the anime I would watch for the male MC. He is a badass and basically outshines everyone else in the series. Shouldnt be too much to ask but rare in anime in general.
I used to watch anime constantly but now I hardly do. Neither Japan or I changed, and yet none of the new anime cater to people who remember what the word otaku really meant. What was special with anime is now behind a real barrier and most will never access it.
