Le RN est imparfait, décevant, médiocre, lâche, sans saveur, mais il doit gagner les prochaines élections, non pour lui-même mais pour l'onde de choc qu'une telle victoire est susceptible d'entraîner en France et dont le premier effet bénéfique sera de faire sauter la chape de plomb qui étouffe tout depuis des décennies.

Le RN n'est qu'un outil et sa victoire n'est qu'une étape vers d'autres possibilités qui, tant qu'on n'a pas fait sauter la chape, sont inatteignables et inespérées.

C'est une sorte de passage obligé auquel nous devons consentir faute de mieux, pour des raisons strictement stratégiques, sans illusion aucune sur la qualité intrinsèque du RN qui est à peu près nulle.

Le RN a manqué de respect à son électorat historique, c'est certain. Nous voterons pour lui non pour lui mais pour ce qu'il sera possible de faire grâce à sa victoire, c'est-à-dire peut-être rien ! C'est un saut dans l'inconnu, dans l'aventure, avec toute l'incertitude que cela implique mais quel autre outil avons-nous dans nos mains pour faire sauter cette chienlit ?

Défions-nous immédiatement de ceux qui se sont jurés d'obtenir la défaite du RN aux prochaines élections. Tout ceci n'est pas un jeu. Si Attal, Philippe ou Mélenchon l'emporte l'année prochaine, nous ne trouverons aucune satisfaction à relire les tweets anti-RN que nous publions aujourd'hui.

🇫🇷 France is no longer just regulating social media.
It is building the infrastructure to control political speech before the 2027 presidential election.

On July 21, French lawmakers adopted a ban on social media for under -15s.
From September 1, 2026, under-15s will be blocked from creating new accounts.
Platforms will then have four months to delete existing under-15 accounts and deploy age verification systems approved by the French privacy regulator.

That sounds harmless until you ask one simple question:
How do you prove someone is under 15 without forcing everyone else to prove they are over 15?

That is the trap.

Age verification for children becomes identity verification for society.
The Élysée (place where is sitting Macron) is now summoning 12 major digital platforms on July 28 to prepare the implementation.

This is not an isolated measure.

You need to continue to read and understand what is going on in France.

A recent French Senate report on the “grey zones of information” proposes new tools to monitor disinformation before the 2027 election.

Around that report, the phrase “internal interference” has already appeared.

Read that again.
French citizens speaking, organizing and exposing contradictions online can now be framed not as democratic opposition, but as an information-security problem.

Once your identity is linked to your speech, freedom becomes theoretical.

A soldier will think twice.
A police officer will think twice.
A journalist will think twice.
A civil servant will think twice.
A business owner will think twice.
An ordinary citizen will think twice.

Not because they are criminals.
Because the punishment no longer needs a court.

It can be social.
Professional.
Administrative.
Financial.

One wrong post, one archived contradiction, one politically inconvenient opinion, and your life can be damaged before any judge ever looks at the case.
Europe has already started walking down this road.

In the UK, Parliament debated more than 12,000 arrests in 2023 under online communication offences.
In Germany, Chancellor Merz openly called for a real-name requirement online.
The European Commission has already used DSA mechanisms to ask YouTube to remove content.

France is now accelerating.
The real target is not “hate speech.”
It is not “fake news.”
It is not even children.

The real target is the loss of narrative monopoly.

X terrifies them because archives circulate here. Old statements resurface here.
Media narratives are challenged here.
Politicians are confronted here.
Ordinary citizens can still bypass the gatekeepers here.

That is what they want to break.

A democracy that starts treating its own citizens’ speech as a domestic threat is no longer defending democracy.

It is preparing to manage dissent.

Free speech is not a left-wing issue.
It is not a right-wing issue.
It is the last firewall between citizens and a state that wants to decide what can be said, who may say it, and under which identity.

If France loses anonymity, the 2027 presidential election will not take place in a free digital public square.
It will take place under surveillance.
Under pressure.
Under a digital chokehold.

The window to resist is closing fast.
