βIf a scan or labs were ordered a while ago but not done, following up the status is very helpful to me
You guys are doing great and have been incredibly helpful to me during this transition to internship!
Itβs sub-I season, and being a sub I can be hard! As a second month intern, here is a list of tips that Iβve shared with the amazing sub-Is Iβve worked with. Itβs easy to feel that you canβt contribute much as a med student, but these are some very helpful things you can do
βGood: βwhat post op checks do you need help with?β
βBetter: βI saw thereβs 4 cases this morning. Iβll go check on them at xyz timeβ
βOther examples- if doing a wound vac change, you can help make sure the supplies are at bedside (this can take a long time)
@PennStHershey Iβm so sad to hear this news. When I was a 3rd year medical student on my peds surgery rotation, I would see Kaia almost every morning in the childrenβs hospital. She would come up to us and the residents and smoosh her little face in our hands for cuddles. Rest easy sweet girl.
