Islamiyya died because of this affordability and accessibility
Hunger will nearly kill malam, he will have no option than close islamiyya and look for means of survival.
That commercialisation is the only way to sustain islamiyya
That affordability and accessibility you are referencing here is no longer sustainable
Malam too goes to the market and needs to live. No one cares again.
Malam doesn't receive manna from heaven.
One thing I’ve learned is that countries don’t just wake up one morning and collapse, I was in Sudan when the protests started. I still remember those early days. People were angry, frustrated and tired but most of us never imagined we were watching the beginning of something that would eventually change the country forever.
Back then a lot of people thought things would calm down. That somehow the leaders would listen, people would move on and life would return to normal, It didn’t.
Looking back, the warning signs were there all along, rising hardship, people losing faith in institutions and citizens feeling like nobody was listening to them. The gap between what people were experiencing and what those in power were saying kept getting wider.
I’m really scared for Nigeria, the way things are going. I hope we don’t reach to collapse.
These People are currently attacking Jaiz Bank online, and frankly, their logic is incredibly flawed. They claim that because bandits are seen displaying cash from Jaiz Bank, the institution must be sponsoring them simply because it is an Islamic bank.
Common sense should tell you that the victims' families likely withdrew that money to pay a ransom. In their eagerness to attack Islam, many people are completely abandoning logic. At this point, it is clear that this outrage is intentional rather than accidental.
@Specter_0047@Realoilsheikh@Suleyyy_BB He is not justifying mass wedding. His concern is about the stereotype of unborn children from mass wedding, saying they are future bandits and terrorists.
@Specter_0047@Realoilsheikh@Suleyyy_BB Mallam, if you follow @Realoilsheikh overtime, you do know he has been a vocal voice for the challenges of the North. He calls out any leader depending in the context of the issue. So what he is doing now is just to showcase the hypocrisy of some bigots
Assuming things like these happen only in the North, that Egi idiot and his cowardly combatants would want to press out necks.
Your mothers are dancing to ₦1500 semovita😩🤦
This logic is shaky. Dangote and Rabiu built their empires with roots, networks, and early capital from Kano and the North. Lagos gave them scale and markets, no doubt, but crediting only Lagos feels like rewriting history to hype one state.
As government, why spend speeches celebrating one state's dominance instead of fixing why the other 35 are lagging? We need policies that open opportunities everywhere. Better infrastructure, power, security, ease of doing business. So talent and capital aren't forced to pile into Lagos alone. One state can't keep carrying this load. Diversify the hustle, don't glorify the concentration.
What actual steps are being taken beyond the praise?
I was in Akure last year for a burial ceremony. Trust me, Zaria Local Govt is more developed than Akure. They had their first Kilimanjaro Restaurant around that time, and the roads are as terrible asthe faces of these bigots. I went round the entire city in half a day, with the help of a colleague and I didn't see a single development in that state, when compared to states like Kano, Gombe, Bauchi, Kaduna. Until recently, Delta State that pockets what 5 states in the northern receives as FAAC every month is just a messy state with nothing to show of development. Thanks to the present governor, he is doing a lot. Is it Bayelsa or Edo? Yet, the North is pulling them back. One Osas is in Lagos singing the praises of the Lagos govt leaving behind his Edo suffering under-development.
@The_AdeSegun@Realoilsheikh So, the indigenes don't deserve roads bcos some people up North will reside there? Then you don't rate them enough. you see them like wild animals.
Everyday you keep shouting the North is Pulling you back, yet your states collect large FAAC revenue than Northern states, your elected leaders are your indigenous people, your agberos, cultists, yahoo bois, armed robbers, kidnappers and what have you are your indigenous people!
Why have you not curb your menace and made your Region developed?
Why is it that Aliko Dangote, Abdul Samad Rabiu, and many other Hausa-Fulani businessmen went to Lagos, built billion-dollar corporations, created jobs, paid taxes, and contributed to the economy, but nobody stereotypes the whole North as billionaire businessmen who go to other places and build?
But a few bandits enter the Southwest, and suddenly Fulani people are profiled.
I bet there are disproportionately more Hausa and Fulani people in the Southwest chasing honest living than there are bandits anywhere else combined.
So why do we only generalize negative things?
The people that turned out to be agbero, cultists, yahoo bois, kidnappers/gbomogbomo, oloshos, organ harvesters, ritualists, drug dealers, 419 are they also products of Mass weddings?
This obvious prejudice and double standards stemming from hate, discrimination and disgust for Northerners and Muslims must stop if we want to build a harmonious society.
It must be done under the guise of mutual respect for one another.
And those of you that constantly pile on the north and its useless government, your state governors are as useless as their northern counterparts and your states are as underdeveloped as the ones up north.
The only difference is that you have louder voices and better PR, while the northerners have allowed their region become the convenient example of everything wrong with Nigeria.
Miss me with the selective outrage and regional exceptionalism.
There are individuals in the South having children under bridges, many later turn out to be agberos, cultists & yahoo boys. There are individuals in the North getting married with no means to cater for those children, many turn out to be bandits & terrorists.
2 truths can exist.
Lmao. And whose lost you think, that you didn't go to BUK to pursue an MSc in Mass Comm? Yours or the University's? What value have you added to the university you went to, and what is your entire worth to education and academics? Don't even go there. I understand that some people believe you're a genius of a sort because you do a lot of bragados 🤭to them. But I know you're not a match to 1/1,000,000 educated Kanawa that have achieved a lot in their fields. Again, I challenge you, tell me a single man from Kano that has been linked to any form of terrorism? Kano has had a few terrorists attacks like Abuja did, but I didn't hear you say you don't go to Abuja because of that.
Jaki mai siffar aladu.
You're a foundational disgrace to yourself and profession, quick to jump into any attack train against North to please your paymasters. It is one thing to disagree with the Kano State Mass Wedding programme, as many have done, but reducing it to producing terrorists only spells the level of idiocy you nurture. Let me tell you, Kano State has produced some fine professionals, that if you're to be produced 1 million times to this world, you can't catch up to their achievements. Kano is the home to Aliko, BUA, Prof. hundreds of renowned Professors, and researchers. Recently, this same Kano has produced three researchers that the world has recognised as some of the most cited mathematicians in the world; Dr Aliyu Isa Aliyu, Dr Tukur Abdulkadir Sulaiman, Abdullahi Yusuf, a feat empty heads like you cannot achieve. Kano doesn't have a history of terrorism, even among some of its social vices.
That bitterness you carry would be your greatest undoing.
