🚧Welland Canals Pkwy between Glendale Ave and Chapel St S in Thorold is expected to be closed for an extended period (possibly until the evening of Sunday April 5) to accommodate repair work following the railway incident earlier this week

The crossings that were initially impacted have now been cleared for vehicular traffic.

CN crews continue to respond to a 13 railcar derailment that occurred Monday morning near St. Catharines, ON. There are no injuries or fires.
A non-dangerous good called polyethylene, a product used in the manufacturing of household plastics, spilled a limited quantity from one of the railcars. There is no danger to the public.
