People really DON'T understand the issue with these designs and it's driving me nuts. They're FINE character designs on their own, the issue is that every one of them LOSES something that the original design communicated in their own special way.
@Mr_Ora_ Shrek looks mostly fine, though a bit too soft. Not a huge deal.
Donkey is SO overly cartoony and expressive and bouncy, it kinda removes the joke of this realistic Donkey talking and being silly.
Fionna, imo, got it WORST given she just kinda looks like a green human now, rather

So if Disneyland exists, and therefore that means Disney World probably exists, and therefore Hollywood Studios, and therefore Toy Story Land probably exists.
See I just think the Toriel line specifically is responding to Kris being anti-social after Asriel left. Like they can HAVE childhood friends that they drifted away from, I don't see how that makes their newfound connection to Susie any less impactful.
My biggest problem with DR is how easily Kris fits into Hometown. Ch1 sells them as the weird lonely kid, estranged from their class, with no one wanting to partner up with them except Noelle (which I read as her being kind to the lonely kid & not necessarily being Kris' friend).

We see her mentality PRETTY deeply, actually. As a child she experienced one of THE worst things you could experience, her mother was mentally unwell to the point of abuse. She had to watch as she got institutionalized at that very young, impressionable age. This sets-
Can someone explain what's her deal, ik she had a worse childhood related to #backrooms but why she went so deep inside of that space. Does she care about her client that much, like what's her motivation or it's just the script wants her to do that rather than the character.
-therapist, given he comes out with the lesson of "I don't have to change." One final nice BOW on her arc is during the climax with Pirate Clark. After she escapes the monster, there's one final moment where Pirate Clark is clawing after her, unable to reach, and he's not overly-
