Mourinho came in spoke of football heritage and was chased out.

Amorim came in and made it clear to the board that he was the manager of the team and not a coach and he was sacked.

These are coaches that understood the problem of this club and could have solved it if they were backed by fans and the club.

Of particular concern is Amorim, he understood what needed to be done and went about it by clearing the deadwood but United fans only wanted him to win games forgetting we hired him for a rebuild.

Rebuilds are hard, difficult and painful.

It took Klopp 3 seasons and took Arteta 5 seasons but their clubs were willing to back them and stick with them.

Manchester United is happy to bend to the whims of fans and sack managers without dealing with the main problems.

We need to rebuild this club and Michael Carrick is not the man to do the job, we need a forward thinking manager.

Any coach who wants Rashford back in his squad is not a serious coach and should be sacked.

Carrick has a massive task ahead of him. This is going to be a huge rebuilding season for United. Last season was our worst-ever under Amorim, so this season will be a big test for Carrick.

Nolan Xavier Wales, Rest easy King. 🕊️

When I first saw the photo of Nolan with his “friends,” my nervous system immediately went into overdrive. When I read his mother’s words, that this was the last photo taken before he went missing. My heart sank. I hoped with everything in me that he’d be found safe, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of fear that settled deep in my body.

Nolan’s story hit me on a deeply personal level. While I’ve avoided being the token Black person in a group, there have still been moments when I was. As a Jamaican and someone whose worldview has been shaped by Garveyite principles, I’ve learned to stay aware of my surroundings. I try to avoid situations where my instincts tell me something isn’t right. The last time I ignored that feeling, I ended up in a situation that still haunts as I’m lucky to be alive today. It reminded me how quickly life can change and how important it is to listen to that inner voice.

My heart breaks for Nolan’s family. No parent should ever have to experience this kind of pain. From every photo I’ve seen, he looked like a kind, bright young man with his whole life ahead of him. I’m frustrated, I’m angry, and reflecting on a reality that too many Black people understand.

We deserve to grow old. We deserve to feel safe. We deserve to exist without our loved ones wondering whether we’ll make it home.

One of the hardest truths I’ve wrestled with is that, in America, for many Black people, success comes with a painful paradox. We work hard, earn opportunities, but that exposes us to spaces where we are often the only person who looks like us. Spaces where you're more isolated, more visible, and more vulnerable. It’s a burden that many Black people understand intimately. Nolan’s story has forced many of us to reflect on those realities once again. It is also a reminder of how much work remains before my people can simply exist and feel safe.

Black people deserve more than survival.
We deserve to grow old.

We deserve to chase success without wondering if it will come with greater vulnerability.

We deserve to exist without our families fearing that we won’t make it home.

Nolan’s life mattered. He wasn’t just another headline. He was someone’s son, someone’s friend, someone’s future. He deserved the chance to fulfill his dreams, to grow old, and to return home safely.

Rest easy, Nolan. My deepest condolences go out to your family, your loved ones, and everyone mourning your loss. May you rest in peace.
