Building Drone Harvest, my first mobile game, with AI tools. 🤖 Unity + Codex workflows 📱 Android indie game in development.

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

🎮 1 month of developing Drone Harvest – time for a little recap and a new trailer! 🚀

So much has changed in just a few weeks:

👾 10+ enemy types with boss variants
💀 2 major world bosses
🌍 3 different maps
⚙️ A completely new item system
⚡ A new event system
🔧 And countless smaller improvements!

The trailer features our newest world: Crystal Rift, where you'll encounter the very first boss I created for Drone Harvest.

I'm still far from happy with the boss fights, but the foundation is there. Now it's time to build on it!

🎯 My next goal is to get the three existing maps ready for the first playtest.

I want to find out if the game is heading in the right direction, what players enjoy, and what needs to change.

And a huge thank you to all the amazing developers I've connected with here on X over the past few weeks! 🙌

What do you think of the trailer? Honest feedback is always welcome! 👇

@AbhinavJhaCodes Hey Abhinav! 👋

I'm currently building two projects with AI assistance:

🎮 Drone Harvest – a 3D action-survival game for Android.
📱 PureRecord – a simple, ad-free screen recorder getting ready for release.

What are you working on right now?

Let's connect! 🤝🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Oh yes, especially the tool subscriptions! 😂

I'm currently building my first Android game with AI, and those monthly costs can add up surprisingly fast.

That's why I've set myself a fixed budget and I'm trying to finish the game without going over it.

I bet those first $100 in revenue will feel amazing! 😁

Let's connect! 🤝

@hitesh_sisara @grok Hey Hitesh! 👋

I'm currently building two projects with AI assistance:

🎮 Drone Harvest – a 3D action-survival game for Android.
📱 PureRecord – an ad-free screen recorder app, getting ready for release.

It's amazing what we can build with AI these days!

Let's connect! 🤝🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

@rafneves_ That sounds promising! 😁

Short SFX for weapons, hits, and boss attacks are exactly what I need right now.

I'll definitely give ElevenLabs a try!

Do you usually edit the generated sounds afterward, or use them directly in the game? 🎧

@MrB2Beast @SchildbenarStud Hey Tristan! 😁

That's an interesting concept! Breaking a big goal down into small daily steps sounds genuinely useful.

I'd love to give Gaapp a try!

How far along is the development, and is the app already publicly available?

Thanks for the offer! 🙌

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Thanks a lot, Rafael! 😁🙌

Interesting that we're using some of the same AI tools!

I'm especially curious about ElevenLabs. Sound design is actually one of my biggest challenges with Drone Harvest right now. 😅

How happy are you with the generated SFX? Can you use them directly in your game, or do they need a lot of editing?

I'll definitely keep following your game's development too!

Let's stay connected! 🎮🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Hey Tristan! 👋

Gaapp sounds like an interesting concept! As a solo developer, it's easy to lose track of priorities on bigger projects. 😅

I'm currently building Drone Harvest, a 3D action-survival game for Android, alongside my full-time job. 🎮

My biggest challenge right now is staying focused on what really matters.

Let's connect! 🤝🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Haha, I'm curious what they'll break first too!

Considering how many bugs I've already found myself, this should be interesting.

But that's exactly why I want to do the playtest. Sometimes you just need fresh perspectives, especially when you're building everything solo.

Really appreciate your support!

Hey! 👋 I'm building Drone Harvest, my first 3D Android game, with AI alongside my full-time job. 🎮

Looking to connect with indie devs, AI builders, and solo developers!

Let's connect! 🚀

What are you building? 👇

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

@SchildbenarStud Hey, we've already crossed paths here! 😁🇩🇪

Always great to meet fellow indie devs from Germany!

Still working on Drone Harvest and currently struggling with the equipment UI. 😂

How's your Unity project coming along?

Let's connect! 🤝🎮

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Respect for sharing the real numbers! 🙌

I love seeing builders share the struggles too, not just the big wins.

I'm building games and apps alongside my full-time job while trying to grow a small community here on X.

I'm learning that genuine connections matter much more than just follower numbers.

Keep building, and let's connect! 🤝🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Thanks, Muhammed! 😁🙌

That's exactly my goal right now. I keep catching myself wanting to work on too many new ideas at once. 😂

For now, I want to focus on getting Drone Harvest ready for its first playtest, then improve it based on player feedback.

Really appreciate the great conversation and your support! 🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Wife and daughter are asleep. Time for my second shift! 😂🎮

Tonight's to-do list:

🎮 Drone Harvest:
• Still not happy with the item system.
• The 3rd boss fight is almost done. Only my favorite part is missing: sound design. 😅

📱 PureRecord:
• Added a feature to record audio from supported apps and save it as MP3 or M4A!

Let's see how much I can get done tonight. 🚀

Anyone else building tonight? 👇

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Hey Elliot! 👋

I'm Marcel from Germany, building games and apps with AI alongside my full-time job.

🎮 Drone Harvest – my first 3D action-survival game for Android.
📱 PureRecord – my screen recorder app, getting ready for release.

Curious what you're currently working on as an AI engineer!

Let's connect! 🤝🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Anyone else having constant issues with Codex Remote lately? 🤔

I often work on my indie game remotely while I'm away from my PC. It used to work really well!

But recently:
🔴 Constant disconnects
🔴 Chats refusing to load
🔴 Images and screenshots not showing up

I can usually reconnect, but the connection keeps dropping. Sometimes I even have to start a new chat.

Are you using Codex Remote too? Having similar issues, or is it working fine for you?

@thsottiaux @OpenAI

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Haha, you're really interested in the technical details! 😁

We already have some reusable scripts, but adapt them depending on the model and its requirements.

Eventually, I'd like to streamline and automate the entire workflow even further.

For now, though, my main focus is getting Drone Harvest ready for its first playtest. 🎮🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

@thsottiaux Wow, I really didn't expect this today! 🔥

As someone who uses Codex daily to build my indie game, this is fantastic news.

Really great to see you listening to the community's feedback!

And we still have three days left. 👀🚀

Thanks, Tibo and the entire team! 🙌

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

Hey Dam! 👋

I'm Marcel from Germany, building games and apps with AI alongside my full-time job.

🎮 Drone Harvest – my first 3D Android game.
📱 PureRecord – my screen recorder app, getting ready for release.
I also share my experiences with AI tools and development here on X.

What are you building with Hawkscan?

Let's connect! 🤝🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

I actually checked our pipeline with Claude!

We're already transferring high-poly details into new normal maps for some items.

For enemies, we're mostly still using the original Tripo normal maps after polygon reduction.

I'm now looking into improving that workflow further for Android. 🚀

[Marcel | AI Game Dev @Stacki_TV]

@BattMatter 150 replies in one day? Respect! 😂🙌

I'm trying to grow on X while balancing a full-time job, family, and building my indie game.

Sometimes I genuinely wonder how other builders manage to fit everything into one day. 😅

Enjoy your well-deserved evening with your wife! 🍿
