I somehow became a patriot of a country that isnβt mine by birth, but one that makes me feel deeply protected. Iβve been lied to by many governments before, but this one consistently follows through on its word.
This current situation has made something that was always felt but invisible suddenly visible, the sense of unity among the expats who live here. Only residents will truly understand what I mean.
There is a feeling of love, pride, and trust in the air, even in difficult times like these, as our rulers continue to show strength, diplomacy, and capability.
