Today, the 25th May 2026, I had to finally accept the update to lose this classic app, because of a security issue (yes, it has been Twitter for me this entire time)
@SamWhyte I once had walked halfway to the gym, suddenly realised I wasn’t wearing mine, and then genuinely froze for a few minutes trying to decide my next steps - ‘if I go back I’ll have to drop half of my session, but it will know I did it’, before I snapped out of it
Last night we watched ‘When Harry met Sally’, a NYE classic
In the middle of *that scene* I realised 2 things:
1. Sound really carries here (& our lounge is not enclosed)
2. our neighbours won’t have seen, or even know of the film
So yes, who knows what they think of us now
@MyshkinFool Sort of similar, but I still remember people’s reactions on hearing Assou-Ekotto wasn’t a football fan, and that it was just a job he was decent at. Like it had to be a childhood dream for everyone, and you must make airplane noises as you run round the pitch.
@SamWhyte That was the problem with school life: “here’s a handful of sports/subjects/jobs��, with people believing they would fail if they couldn’t do them/the jobs didn’t appeal. I was so confused as I was good with numbers but knew I didn’t want to be a maths teacher or accountant
