#FBI SF Case Update: A Russian national has been indicted for using a freelance-employment platform to distribute malware to approximately 80,000 users. Prosecutors allege that Searzhudin Tamirlanovich Aktulaev created 255 fraudulent accounts to send messages with malicious attachments, enabling him and his co-conspirators to harvest stolen data for fraud and other criminal activity.
Aktulaev was arrested in Cyprus in May 2025 and extradited to the United States last Friday. Aktulaev is next scheduled to appear in district court on October 5, Read more: https://t.co/USOIX1PGh8

Hertz, FedEx, Target, GameStop, Caesars, Motorola Solutions, Jack Henry, LendingUSA, MRI Software, Waste Management, Polaris, Rouses Market, Circa Casino, Planet 13 and the US Coast Guard Academy.

These are the suspected sources of the 153M scans now selling on the dark web.

IDScan does 21M verifications a month across 20,000+ locations. IDScan says it is investigating.
