Blockchains are global. Communities are built IRL. ๐ฉ๐ช ๐ป
Every year at Blocktoberfest, we bring together some of the builders, founders, infra nerds and crypto frens shaping the blockchain ecosystem in Germany and Europe.
Good conversations. New connections. A bit of alpha. And, obviously, German beer & pretzels. ๐ฅจ
This year, weโre keeping one wildcard +1 for the community.

First Voting season is LIVE!
There are proposals SGP-0001, SGP-0002, SGP-0003 until the end of Epoch 2^10 - 1.
We voted YES on all of them.
SGP-0001 is the framework everything else hangs on; credit to @DrNickA and @tushar_jain for drafting it.
On SGP-0002: Inflation did its job โ solving the cold-start problem, but as a community we are overpaying for it. @solana is successfully moving towards paying for its own security from user activity (fees), which follow performance, instead of issuance, which every SOL holder pays for.
We agree it might be rough on smaller validators. In reality consolidation already happened. And the supermajority (top 80% of stake) โ 147 biggest validator are spread wider than what people might think:
And also on SGP-0003 by @cavemanloverboy
A flat base fee burn says nothing about what a transaction actually costs the network, not motivating devs to write lean optimized code, which is crucial for high-performance low-latency network. The new model is pricing by resources consumed (CUs).
We believe that pushing efficiency through economic incentives is fully aligned with #IBRL vision. The way it is done in this proposal โ burning based on CUs makes issuance slower, thus a benefit for token holders as a side effect.
The direction is right โ the implementation belongs to SIMD-0553 and parameter adjustment, that might be another SGP...
Solana Beach is now running the full Firedancer client (v1.1.4) on mainnet. The hot-spare validator is still running Agave. Two independent clients in two independent data centers, both on custom bare-metal hardware. Thanks @StakingFac for keeping our validator on the edge.
first block to go above 60m goes to @JupiterExchange โ https://t.co/J4ju4yukUg
first ~full block (rounds to 100%) goes to @StakingFac โ https://t.co/BoCw8vDO0N
Single-handedly reducing attestation messages across the network by 30% while doubling the number of compounding validators is huge ๐ช
Excited to be part of this next chapter for Lido ๐
The Core Upgrade is a meaningful step toward a more scalable, efficient, and resilient Ethereum staking ecosystem.
Weโre looking forward to supporting the migration and continuing to deliver reliable validator operations alongside the Lido community.
Lido Core 2026 Upgrade
The biggest evolution of Lido Core brings improvements across the staking modules to keep the protocol aligned with Ethereumโs roadmap and ensure long-term protocol sustainability.
No action is required from stakers - the upgrade is protocol-level.

After a year of operating @doublezero infrastructure, weโre optimizing our network footprint based on usage and operational experience.
Over the coming weeks, weโll retire our Warsaw and Madrid sites, along with the MunichโStrasbourg link, as we concentrate our efforts around our Frankfurt hub and prepare a number of infrastructure upgrades.
Weโre as committed as ever to DoubleZero. Stay tuned ๐
Introducing: Solana Performance Hub
A curated @solana#IBRL infrastructure hub in Frankfurt.
โก Fast shreds, low-latency market data
โก High-performance hardware
โก Network-connected via @DoubleZero Edge
We're opening access to an initial cohort of independent validators.
Qualifying independent high-performance validators with >300k stake get a dedicated bare-metal mainnet node. Free of charge.
Fully tuned and serviced by our Solana engineering team.
Our own @thgehr took the stage @Solana Summit Germany 2026 to pitch @MatoFinance.
A continuous clearing auctions solution for onchain trading he built, which just went live on mainnet. We couldn't be prouder ๐
Hit him up if you want to know more ๐ฌ
@EmiT87@temporal_xyz@jito_labs@TiborTribus@Son_of_a_Pigeon We understand that validator economics are tough, especially in this market, but we want Solana to succeed.
We are preparing a program for honest validators with mid-sized stakes to help them offset some of their costs.
If you are interested, our DMs are open. ๐ฌ
At Solana Summit Germany, our CTO @EmiT87 joined partners from @temporal_xyz and @jito_labs on a panel exploring who actually runs Solana.
The audience consensus after the panel: validators. That is true most of the time, but ultimately, stakers decide by choosing their validators.
