Today, state elected officials, defenders, & community advocates rallied ahead of the Senate hearing on TCEA.
Together, we demanded passage of TCEA. A bill that makes our communities safer.
It was powerful to be in community together, advocating for our fellow New Yorkers.
We must resist the urge to make policy on high-profile instances of crime. Any tragic shooting is devastating for the victim, the family, and the community.
