@chirineturk @RIDICULO_pathy Not at all. I would expect a hospitalist who is trained in internal medicine to assist in caring for a patient with their expertise.
@DrSomedayMaybe As a doc on the larger bmi side. I have conversations about weight loss quite a bit. Not to shame, but encourage and educate. Producing that metal would be effective at communicating your fairly unique situation. I give you a high five.
Learning case for me. Revision 8 years ago. Returned to high level of activity until increased pain over last year, but still don’t reasonably well. saw 3 surgeons prior to me, All told him to leave it. I also gave him that option but he was insistent that symptoms were worsening

@EdinburghKnee I can’t even imagine seeing people wait years. And people with influence and money (including people In charge of these systems) will always get the care they desire. It’s the most vulnerable that will have to wait.
@EdinburghKnee I am personally tormented when I need to schedule a patient 2-3 months out for surgery when they are suffering. And some people are really suffering. It’s frustrating to know that there are people who can hardly walk with a bad hip and could be fixed with a 60 minute surgery.
