ScoMo, you touched us all with your tribute to abused children today. Now, do the right thing for another generation: Get every child off Nauru tomorrow.
Does painting abortion as a 'simple medical procedure' help or harm women? Something to consider as we move forward in this space. #qldpol#womendeservebetter
'...no national guidelines or protocol for women going through the pre-natal diagnosis process.
"This isn't about pro-choice or pro-life. This is more about pro-ethical diagnosis delivery, pro-support, pro-accurate & up-to-date information".' #qldpol

Yes exactly @QLDLabor - this is why women need provisions for pre decision support and post abortion counselling that acknowledges the very real grief and trauma related to it #qldpol Let's work together to improve this #abortiondebateQLD#health#womendeservebetter
The majority of Queenslanders opposed this Labor #abortionbill but were ignored by so many of their elected representatives. Thank you to those who did. But now the challenge goes out to MPs to listen in the next phase of implementing better practices for everyones sake #qldpol
We have just heard from Deputy Premier @jackietrad. It was disappointing to hear her deny the fact of #abortioncoercion. She stated that it did not exist. Deeply reprehensible to deny the lived experiences of women. #womendeservebetter#qldpol
Mr Miles says that the amendments will 'impede women's access to healthcare.' How can offering counselling and giving doctors their rights possibly do this? Please explain yourself @StevenJMiles#qldpol#abortiondebateqld
Really? Women in Qld already have the legal right to terminate under a medical practitioner’s care. What no one - dead or alive - should have is the right to end a life when, if removed from “life support”, that person would live & is not threatening anyone else’s life. #qldpol
"We'd be giving women less rights than a corpse". LNP MP Steve Minnikin is delivering a passionate speech during the abortion reform debate, saying it should be a health issue not a criminal issue #qldpol
@AbortionRethink@JarrodBleijieMP Where have you been all my life, @JarrodBleijieMP? Thank you for speaking up & looking at this holistically. I’m a teacher & this bill horrifies me: I know the pressure students I taught were under to abort their unplanned but definitely wanted baby. #womendeservebetter#qldpol
@AbortionRethink @donbrownmp The key words there are "speak with", not "listen to". When I met with @donbrownmp, he was not interested in listening to any concerns I had about the Bill. In fact, he repeatedly spoke over me & told me women facing a challenging pregnancy could "google" for help. #qldpol
@FamilyAssn Sounds like my representative who compared his vasectomy to an abortion when I shared with him my concerns over this bill. #outoftouch#itsnot1899#qldpol
Today is international Infant and Pregnancy Loss remembrance day. Today we remember those little ones who were with us for such a short time, those who carried them and those who loved them. #pregnancyloss#infantloss
@donbrownmp @Labor4ChoiceQld That's a massive crowd? Did you miss the one 4x this size the day before? 4000 Queenslanders (also in the rain) rallying to say that abortion, which is already legal in Qld if consented to by the mother and performed by a medical practitioner, is never safe. #qldpol#itsnot1899
Qld's Health Committee conducted an electronic survey. Over 4000 people responded. Q1 was - Do you agree that terminations should be lawful on request up to 22 weeks? 18.5% said yes. But the Government has ignored the people's response. What was the point of the survey? #qldpol
