Today, I joined Grayson Davis' family at President Trump’s press conference, where President Trump highlighted the terrible impact of illegal immigrant crime across the United States. Afterwards, we met with President @realDonaldTrump and Senator @tedcruz. Both men listened with compassion as the Davis family told the awful story of how Grayson's life was cut short by a drunk driver here illegally. I will continue working with President Donald Trump, Senator Ted Cruz, Governor @GregAbbott_TX, and anyone else who will help put an end to the invasion at our southern border. In the coming weeks, I will be drafting legislation, "Grayson's Law," to address illegal immigrant crime at the state level.

The ATF’s illegal gun registry must be destroyed—ASAP.

Today I sent a letter to President Trump and Vice President Vance urging action against ATF’s unlawful gun registry. This database — which has grown to more than 1.4 billion records — was built up over years in violation of the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act of 1986 and longstanding appropriations restrictions. The ATF has no authority to maintain a national registry of guns and gun owners. We are asking the administration to investigate the database, destroy any records kept illegally, and stop its expansion.
