89-Yr-Old Imo Man and Son Sentenced to Death
An 89-year-old man, Pa Everestus Okereke, and his eldest son, Ugochukwu, are facing execution in Imo State after spending a decade behind bars for a crime allegedly committed by another relative.
The tragedy began in 2016 when Pa Okereke's younger son allegedly fled after a fight resulted in another man's death. Authorities detained Pa Okereke and his first son in place of the missing suspect, and both were sentenced to death by hanging in September 2022.

The Global Threat Next Door: Why Biafra agitators are Planting Flags in foreign countries .
The Dark Truth Behind IPOB’s liaison Global Offices in your cities is because the Biafra struggle is now institutionalized by IPOB - Directorate of state under the leadership of Mazi Chikadibia Edoziem. With the institutionalization of the Biafra struggle , IPOB is already Funding a Shadow State.
These IPOB offices are very important in advancing the restoration of Biafra . Authorities or foreign bodies do not communicate with agitators or rebels concealed in the forest.
They converse with diplomats in their offices. If your movement is unable to establish a liaison office (a specific diplomatic presence in another nation), the global community will perceive you as a disorganized group instead of a nation poised for recognition.
A liaison office for Biafra indicates that IPOB possesses an organization, regulations, and leadership. It demonstrates their authenticity, which is crucial for recognition.
Setting up a liaison office for freedom fighting movements transforms their covert connections into transparent, legitimate collaborations and aids in forming official allies, as diplomatic relationships are not founded on rhetoric and deception.
Setting up offices compels international discussions and transforms your standing from a national "issue" to a worldwide dialogue, while also eliminating the "terrorist" tag by rebranding your combatants as a recognized liberation force.
The IPOB offices being established globally is designed to urge the international audience feel like a distant Nigerian and Biafra issue is now on their own doorstep.

Imo: Authorities Must Account for Hundreds of Unidentified Bodies
https://t.co/Mz8gNYDHAd
Amnesty International raises urgent concerns over reports of hundreds of unidentified, mostly skeletal bodies being moved at night from Imo State mortuaries (including Ngor Okpala and Mbieri hospitals) to unknown locations.
The organisation demands that authorities fully account for the remains, preserve all evidence, identify the deceased, investigate possible unlawful killings during security operations, inform families, and ensure justice and accountability.
Another night, another massacre of Christians in Nigeria.
Fulani militants hit Mangu in Plateau State, going house to house with guns and machetes. Death toll is now at 24, many of them women and children.
This has been going on for years, but most of the world still looks the other way.

The viral video of the Nigerian police officer has generated outrage. But I believe we are asking the wrong question.
The question is not simply why one officer could say such a thing.
The deeper question is: What happens in a society's consciousness that allows fellow citizens to stop being seen as "one of us" and become "those people"?
As Ojy Okpe @ARISEtv rightly observed, it was not a slip of the tongue. It was a window into a mindset.
But mindsets do not emerge overnight. They are shaped over time by history, narratives, language, politics and repeated patterns of perception.
This is where I believe we need to go deeper.
The deeper issue is not simply prejudice. It is what I call 'The Consciousness of Othering'.
Every injustice begins in consciousness before it appears in behaviour.
Before people discriminate, they first categorise. Before they exclude, they first separate. And before they oppress, they first stop seeing others as "one of us" and begin seeing them as "those people."
That shift in perception is where Othering begins - the psychology of 'othering'.
The question, therefore, is not only why did this officer say it?
If we truly want to understand why many Igbo people continue to experience moments like this, we must be willing to ask not only what happened, but how a society arrives at a level of consciousness where such words can be spoken so casually.
Until we confront that deeper question, we will continue treating symptoms while leaving the root untouched.
Over the next coming days, I will begin exploring this framework in greater depth under the title: The Consciousness of Othering.
Because every act of exclusion begins with a change in consciousness long before it becomes a change in behaviour.
One of the reasons we seek Biafra is this deep rooted 'Othering '
This is why many others who came before Mazi #NnamdiKanu came.
This is why Mazi #NnamdiKanu came and this is why we are all here.

History will always remember Bruce Mayrock a white American student who became known for sacrificing his life in support of Biafra during the Nigerian Civil War.
On May 29, 1969, Bruce Mayrock, a 20 year old student from Columbia University in the United States, set himself on fire in front of the United Nations headquarters in New York to protest the suffering and starvation of Biafran civilians, especially children, during the war.
Before his death, he reportedly left a message saying:
“You must stop the genocide against the people of Biafra.”
Bruce Mayrock’s action drew international attention to the humanitarian crisis in Biafra, where millions of civilians suffered from famine and war between 1967 and 1970.

I am so hurt after watching what happened to 28-year-old Ogidi Mena in Delta State
Let me say this clearly and with the full weight of the law behind it
Section 33 of the 1999 Constitution guarantees the RIGHT TO LIFE. No police officer has the right to take that life except in very strict situations. This was not one of them. Under the Criminal Code, what happened here points to one thing “MURDER.”
Now let’s talk like real people
A parcel arrived at the park. They asked the boy who came to pick it:
“What is inside?”
He said:
“My friend sent me.”
Simple question:
👉 Why didn’t they focus on the Person who sent the Parcel?
Who should the law be interested in?
The messenger or the owner of the g0n?
From that moment, the investigation already went wrong.
Then the police came as officers on duty. They met a man who was already tied, already dis@rmed, already surrounded. No threat, no danger. Yet ASP Ogbegbe pulled the trigger, Sh0t him. He didn’t d!e
They carried him alive into the police vehicle and instead of taking him inside for investigation, at the station he was shot again and again and again until he d!ed.
Let’s stop pretending:
👉 That is not arrest.
👉 That is not investigation.
👉 That is Extra-judicial k!lling.
But here is where it gets even more disturbing
The same man who could have led the police to the sender, the source of the g0n, the possible network was silenced.
So let me ask the question many people are afraid to ask:
👉 Why was he killed before he could talk?
Was it anger?
Or was someone trying to make sure certain names are never mentioned?
And it doesn’t end there from the video a
colleague gave him bullets others were cheering him on in the background this is no longer one “trigger-happy officer”. This becomes a team act.
And in law if you assist, encourage, or stand by this becomes:
👉 A possible case of aiding and abetting
👉 Concerted misconduct by officers of the Nigeria Police Force
Every single officer present must answer for this.
The Nigeria Police Force was created to:
🥢 Arrest
🥢 Investigate
🥢 Prosecute
Not to decide who lives or d!es. Because once the police become judge and executioner
None of us is safe anymore.
If a suspect is guilty, the court will decide.
If he is innocent, only a trial would have revealed it.
But now?
That truth has been buried with him and that is the real tragedy. Justice in this case must go beyond suspension or parade.
It must answer:
👉 Who sent the weapon?
👉 Why was that lead ignored?
👉 Why was lethal force used on a restrained suspect?
👉 Who else enabled this act?
Because if this is ignored today, tomorrow it could be anyone.
Justice for Ogidi Mena is not just about one life.
It is about whether the law still means anything in our dear country.

The deeply disturbing video of Nigerian police executing a suspect in cold blood, despite his desperate, heart-wrenching pleas to spare his life has sparked outrage. Yet people are raising alarms only because this one killing was caught on camera.
But what about the hundreds of innocent Nigerians slaughtered in silence, without witnesses or evidence? How many more lives must be erased before the world wakes up?
Extrajudicial killings have not just become common, they have become the preferred method of Nigerian security forces. What we just witnessed is not an isolated incident; it is damning proof that any security officer in Nigeria can k#ill Nigerian. No punishment. No justice.
This is the terrifying reality, In Nigeria today, no citizen is safe. Your life can be snatched away in a heartbeat, for no good reason whatsoever.
The law is clear: a suspect is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. Yet an innocent person has been murdered by the very people whose duty it is to protect them. Nigeria has become a danger to its own citizens.

Detained without trial at Wawa Barracks, she was denied medical care and di6d in custody around 2023-2024. DSS recently admitted her death.
