.@casshutchinson_: "The only reason that I will not endorse a candidate right now is because I still am hopeful that Donald Trump does not end up being the nominee next year... But I will say, I think everybody should vote for Joe Biden if they want our democracy to survive."
Former Trump White House aide @casshutchinson_: "Donald Trump cares more about authoritarian rule than he does our rule of law. He doesn't care about preserving our Constitution. He cares about leveraging it for his own power and his own gain."
Senator Lindsey Graham thinks indicting Trump in DC would be a "major outrage by Republicans because you could convict any Republican of anything in Washington DC."
But nobody is clamoring to convict Mitch McConnell, or John Cornyn, or even universally despised Ted Cruz, because they haven't broken the law, at least as far as anyone can tell.
But Trump has broken the law regularly, with impunity, and no regard for appearances or consequences. He has thumbed his nose against the rule of law because he believes he can get away with it.
Senator Graham is attempting to give Trump cover with the false argument "If they can do it to him, they can do it to anyone." But anyone isn't breaking the number of laws that Trump has.
Do you agree that anyone NOT named Donald Trump would have been arrested and convicted for committing just a fraction of the offenses Trump has?
