This is one of the most stupid arguments I have ever heard. So you have a trip to Chegutu and you end up in Bulawayo and you see no reason to phone the owner of the truck to ask for permission because you think it's still one trip to Chegutu? A trip to Chegutu that takes you to Bulawayo or Gweru is being off-route. It means extra costs on the operator in terms of fuel, wear and tear and time. You can't lengthen the trip without adjusting the charge for the load, add more fuel on the truck and more work hours to the driver. Any argument claiming that one can take a trip to Chegutu and end up in Gweru and still claim it's a trip to Chegutu can only be made by some desperate dunderheads seeking to swindle equally stupid and desperate people like ED.
Take, for instance, a bus operator with a permit for Harare to Gweru. If that bus is located in Shangani or Bulawayo, it cannot claim to be on route. It will be in Shangani or Bulawayo illegally. VID or the police have a right to arrest the operator for operating outside his route.
In the same sense, ED has an operator's licence to be driving Zimbabwe until 05 September 2028. If found driving Zimbabwe on 06 September 2028, he will be arrested for being off route.

He says the law is not determined by feelings. That's very true. He says we should go by what is written, that's fine. So what is a term limit provision as written in the law?
Our constitution, defines a term-limit provision. Any other definition that miscreants like you & @ProfJNMoyo want to advance, ndomafeelings arambwa nemukomana uyo.
In section 328, the constitution defines a term-limit provision as "a provision of this constitution which limits the LENGTH of time that a person may hold or occupy a public office".
The question is how is length of time measured? It's seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, decades, centuries.
What then does section 95 (2) do?
It tells us that the length of time one can hold or occupy the office of president is 5 years.
That, without doubt, makes section 95 (2) a term-limit provision.
The exercise in futility by some nutty professors to want to make a disnction between term, time and length, is not only a reflection of some political mischief, but is also a deliberate ploy to sow confusion on an otherwise simple issue.
Let's stick to the letter of the constitution. There is no need to come up with other definitions of a term-limit provision other than the one provided in section 328 of the constitution because doing so will be trying to amend section 328 without a referendum. We now that for you to amend section 328, you need to go for a referendum.
So the constitution is clear to an extent of giving us a definition, in section 328 (1), of a term-limit provision. For the umpteenth time, the constitution, in section 328 (1), defines "a term-limit provision" as "a provision of this constitution which limits the LENGTH of time that a person may hold or occupy a public office".
@edmnangagwa was elected to be in the public office of President of Zimbabwe for 5 years, that's why we are supposed to have elections in 2028. Five years is the LENGTH of time that he can constitutionally hold office. His time in office is limited to 5 years. Anyone who seeks to "extend the length of time a person may hold or occupy any public office" as suggested by CAB3, should know that the extension "does not apply in relation to any person who held or occupied that office, or an equivalent office, at any time before the amendment." (Section 328(7).
It means we can extend the presidential term-limit from 5 to 7 years BUT that extension cannot benefit @edmnangagwa who is currently holding that office. That is very clear.
So @edmnangagwa can go ahead amend section 95(2) but Zimbabweans will then go for elections in 2028 to choose a president who will do a 7-year term according to the amendment and that President won't be ED.

Following yesterday's denial of bail to detained Alpha Media Holdings journalist Blessed Mhlanga - again - prominent filmmaking Zimbabwean media veteran Hopewell Chin’ono set a Go-FundMe account to help his family.
Chin’ono himself is a victim of similar political persecution by prosecution and detention.
Zimbabweans from all walks of life have been contributing to help Mhlanga’s family.
Chin’ono wrote: "I am truly gutted with the denial of bail for Blessed. It is a dark day for the media fraternity. I have set up a Go-FundMe for his family."

BACKGROUND
High Court Justice Gibson Mandaza yesterday denied to Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) senior journalist Blessed Mhlanga - again.
In his ruling, Mandaza said:
“It is my view that there was a proper exercise of discretion in this matter by denying the appellant (Mhlanga) bail.
“After careful examination, I did not find any misdirection by the lower court (magistrate's court).”
Mhlanga is facing two counts of contravening Section 164 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, which deals with transmitting data messages inciting violence or damage to property, emanating from war veterans leader Blessed Geza's recorded attacks on President Emmerson Mnangagwa, saying he has dismally failed and must go.
The controversial content was distributed on AMH's online broadcasting platform HStv which Mhlanga heads, although he is not the publisher or owner.
The AMH publisher is Trevor Ncube who also runs the NewsDay, Zimbabwe Independent and The Standard.
Mandaza’s ruling comes after Mhlanga’s lawyer, Chris Mhike, appealed to the High Court against Harare magistrate Farai Gwitima’s decision on 28 February 2025 to deny the journalist bail.

I have seen some people demanding that the Zimbabwean church and some supposedly opposition leaders speak out against the criminal behavior of Mnangagwa’s corrupt regime.

Don’t force people to be who they are not, their silence is who they are.
Understand and accept it!

While it is natural to expect those in positions of influence to speak out against injustice, it is also important to recognise that silence can sometimes speak volumes about a person’s or organisation’s true values and priorities.

Accept them for who they are.
Forcing them to speak results in half-hearted, disingenuous statements!
Just ignore them and accept them for who they are, pretenders who are being exposed through their silence in the face of political evil!

Some of them swing both ways, pretending to be who they are not by day and supping with the devil at night!
There are many opportunists both in the church and in politics, don’t force them to speak, history should just remember them for who they really are!

While the fight for freedom continues in Zimbabwe, it is now important to establish a Government in Exile that will challenge Mnangagwa’s illegitimate and corrupt regime internationally.

Mnangagwa’s repressive crackdown on pro-democracy activists is intended to protect his loot and the criminal network that benefits from access to public funds.

The regime and its supporters must now be isolated internationally, targeting known bank accounts and investigating additional ones that remain undiscovered, and more importantly targeting private properties bought with looted funds.

With the international community taking notice and condemning ZANUPF’s corrupt rule and repression, there will be increased support for the establishment of a Government in Exile to represent the interests of the Zimbabwean people on the global stage.

Elections will never work, appeasement will never work, the struggle must now stepped up!
Mnangagwa and his regime must go for Zimbabwe to prosper.

A list should be produced with all the local companies that are benefiting from Mnangagwa’s corrupt rule for citizens to boycott them.
All the international companies that do business with Mnangagwa must be boycotted and exposed in their countries of origin!

The terrain for this struggle must now change, we will remember those who help us when we attain our freedom!
