Not a great photo. But Alix Millot in her cellar, about to pour us 2022 Clos Vougeot. About 2022, she said 'with the weather we were expecting another 2020, but it is very different, much fresher and more vibrant'
Wonderful to finish the day last night with the fabulous Thibaud Clerget who said '2022 is a very elegant vintage, with perfect balance between acidity and tannin'
Discovering the vineyards of Ravera! Barolo Cascina Nuova is produced with grapes from the vines adjacent to the farmstead of the same name. These MGA Ravera vineyards feature vines with an average age of 20 years, at an elevation of about 380 meters above sea level, facing south
It is a busy time in the vineyard at the moment. It is a treat to spent some time with Cyprien Arlaud in Clos de la Roche. Look how high the vines are trained. #DomaineArlaud#ClosDeLaRoche#Burgundy
A perfect Thursday morning starts with opening a bottle of Les Setilles with Olivier Leflaive himself and listen to him retell the history of his estate. #Burgundy
Planted in 1994 on volcanic soil (very steep in places), the first vintage was 1998 and as the vines come of age, the wine is absolutely singing. This is just starting to show and can be drunk now, but would benefit from another 5 years in the cellar at least. #Cristom #2017
Once upon a time, roses in the vineyards were used as a early warning system.
Today we are the keepers of this fascinating heritage, in the wake of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and to the safeguard of traditions.

Genevrieres is named after the juniper bushes that grew here. Lafon's 0.55ha plot in Dessus is almost adjacent to Perrieres, yet the soil is very different and the wine more subtle. 75% of the vines were planted in 1946. 2009 is the 11th vintage being fully organic. #ComtesLafon
Long underestimated, #Aligote is on the rise in #Burgundy due to the efforts of a few dedicated producers & recognition that its natural acidity shines with warmer summers. This smells of prehistoric seabed, has a textural quality plus smokiness and hints of exotic fruit. #Moreau
We are thrilled that Katy will be joining us later this year. It has been a tough secret to keep. There are exciting times ahead of us. https://t.co/L8JUxGw2Mt
Huge thank you to @ChaninWine for a fabulous evening. Gavin has access to some of the oldest vines in Santa Barbara County and loves his 2021, which he calls 'a collectors' vintage as they drink well young and will age incredibly well. My dream vintage'.
After a forced break of some three years, the Stannary dinners returned to their home in Kennington. The theme: 2000 Red Burgundy and 2014 White Burgundy. Read the full article by our Director Sam Clarke on the glorious dinner here: https://t.co/s3XUzaxi7y
In antithesis to last year's frosts and hailstorms, the 2022 vintage has seen heatwaves and early harvests. We now look back at the 2022 harvest from our Burgundy producers. The region escaped the hottest weather this year, producing excellent yields in quality and quantity.

From a small 0.19ha plot, #ThomasMorey makes a #ChassagneMontrachet with serious tension. Only a maximum of 15% new oak. A gem for the cellar if you can find it.
