Back into the gym, despite my best intentions I usually end up doing this at the end of the day in the dark. Fine for the indoor stuff, but the roof is quite low so anything involving jumps, plyo box, etc. needs to be done outside. Never the best idea when it's dark, wet & cold.

Sunday morning, winter training. Decided to add in a bit of High Jump for the coming season. Entered a competition at Watford just after my 200m. I managed 1.45m with a PB of 1.50 from back in 2018 and 2019. Otherwise track session was 4x200m with 5 mins recovery.

Winter training is underway, okay this is a few weeks old, I forgot to post it, better late than never. Even as 400m runners, we do work off the track / on the grass - mostly in October and November. This one was a 2km run and 4x120m hill sprints - after a lot of rain.

Kicking off winter training on a strangely sunny and warm autumn day. Down to Gadebridge Park for a longish run, not quite half the Parkrun course. There are some nasty hills then follow that up with 2 sets of 4x100m hill sprints - walk-back recovery and 6 mins between sets.

Perfect time to mix a bit of training with a bit of gadget playing. On the running front a speed session 5x80m with 3 minutes recovery followed by an easy 200m. On the gadget front, it was time to play with my Insta360 X3 - an awesome piece of kit that I've been neglecting.

In Italy for a wedding, Marcus never fails to find us a track to keep up with the training. So here we are in Todi, pretty firm underfoot this one, but friendly people and can't fault the view.

Anybody else had this experience with #halfords and their #carrera bikes? New bike, I followed torque setting in manual (not rating on clamp oops) and broke bolt. It's 34mm, shop cannot find. I contact central support, they say it's my fault I broke it, I need to go on Amazon!!
