A valuable afternoon and a really good workout against a strong @Dag_RedFC side.

Despite the scoreline, there were plenty of positives to take. The lads put in a hardworking performance across the 90 minutes, with a number of trialists getting valuable minutes. Several of those on trial looked very promising, giving us plenty of encouragement ahead of the new season.

A huge thank you to everyone at Dagenham & Redbridge for their hospitality. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made it a fantastic afternoon for the club. We really appreciate it.

Following a medical emergency with the Buxton FC management team, Buxton have had to withdraw from tomorrow’s fixture.

However, we can confirm that we will play Stanway Rovers FC (Step 3) at 3pm at Victoria Road. All event details for tomorrow remain unchanged.

Our thoughts are with Buxton, and we are thankful to Stanway for stepping up in such short notice.

🚧 Progress is being made! 🖤💛

The renovation of our changing rooms at The Kingdom Stadium is full steam ahead, with contractors working tirelessly to have everything ready for the start of the new season. 👷‍♂️⚽

At the same time, brand-new flooring is being laid by @VeatuFlooring in the Hawthorns Suite, and it’s already transforming the space. We can’t wait to show you the finished result!

We’ll be sure to update all our supporters and members once the works have been completed and the finished facilities are ready to be revealed.

FULL TIME | Heybridge Swifts 3-1 Stanway Rovers

A game of two very different halves at Scraley Road last night.

Heybridge started the stronger side and deservedly took control in the opening 45 minutes. With their league campaign just around the corner, they looked sharp, aggressive and ready, while Rovers were a little slow out of the blocks.

The second half told a different story.

The lads showed real character, took control of the game and matched Heybridge’s intensity. As a newly assembled squad, nights like these are all part of the learning process, with players beginning to establish themselves and leaders naturally emerging within the group.

There was a much-improved performance after the break, and on another night we could have added more goals to make the scoreline much closer.

Pre-season is about learning, improving and building together. There will be plenty for both the players and management to reflect on, but the response in the second half was extremely encouraging and provides a strong platform to build on.

Thank you to Heybridge Swifts for a competitive fixture, and we wish them every success for the season ahead.

Stanway Rovers continued their encouraging pre-season with a 4-2 victory over Walthamstow yesterday. 👏

The lads produced an energetic display and were particularly impressive in the first half, playing with intensity, quality and purpose. Walthamstow provided a good test throughout, but the squad continued to show plenty of attacking intent and positive signs as preparations for the new season gather pace.

Another valuable run-out, more minutes in the legs, and another step in the right direction. 💪
