Twenty-year-olds who are terrified of boarding public buses. Teenagers who can’t cook or clean. Children who can’t speak or understand a single indigenous language. Kids with no manners or sense of social etiquette. Internet and video game addicts. Junk food addicts. 🧵
@tobyasky You guys are so strong. From the first statement, seeing where the statement was being said, I got goosebumps of genuine irritation. I'm involuntarily unable to watch that video. Disgust doesn't do justice 2 how it made me feel. Seeing many people talking about it mehn, una strong
@Geeky_ng As of this day and age, I've come to understand that a women's friendship in Nigeria especially will mostly only be a burden. Only a few understand what proper friendship means and offer it. Others enjoy it bcus they know the exchange rate is criminal and one sided. I've stopped.
@cousinray_ This has always been a strong part of why I'm very hopeful. Peter Obi has seen all parts of politics, the depth of corruption and impunity most of his life. If after what happened it 2023, he still chooses to contest, then he's no fool. He's prepared and so should we.
Last presidential election, I became a self-appointed LP Agent in my ward, I and my guy who’s also a lawyer endured that votes were counted and it was a landslide win for LP, however…we told the INEC staff to upload our result in our presence, they complained of internet, we brought a WiFi , they refused ..
They told us that we should accompany them to the collation center , we boarded a bike to the collation center , only for the police woman to point a gun at us and told us that if we have guts we should pass the entrance ..
Hehehehehe, it was at that point I knew we were cooked as a nation !!!
I’d say no further ..
This is their result sheet after 12 years… and then add insecurity, corruption, poor healthcare, and pretty much ZERO improvement in any other sector. That’s their result sheet.
Yesterday, I saw two thirst traps on Twitter. I noticed they had a lot of engagement, so I went through the comments. There were men saying that if they could afford it, they would give these women lots of money and lick their toes.
It was weird to me even as a feet guy. But I appreciate the reasoning. Those men reflect what “men” today are, as opposed to men like myself. (And I’m not even a hard guy; I just be chilling.)
Anyway, if you’re a woman looking to settle down, do what you can to find such men who are looking for toes to lick. Or men that are into “bagging women.” You get to have a man who’ll worship you for existing, and you’d never need a pedicure because his tongue will do the job.
My first ever encounter with this man called Peter Obi was at 8:43am. I was late to school, and as i stood outside the gate waiting for the Labour prefect to bring brooms and show us where we to sweep, i saw this man casually walk into the school premises and ask me to take him to where our senior prefect was 😅. He only came to the school cos he wanted to confirm by himself if the computers that was approved by the education board was actually sent to our school.
He didn't even come to see our principal who saw him from his office and rushed to greet him. Obi smiled, greeted and waved at him while still following our senior prefect to the computer room and checking it to be sure it worked properly.
After that, he went class by class, asking us what we needed. He didn't even come with an entourage or anything. Just him.
I don't think you understand how crazy it is to have the governor of your state casually walking into your school without any escort and assessing what needs to be done himself.
The next day, they brought us new ceiling fans and brand new chairs...
He set the bar so high in governance that if you tell random Nigerians that you could casually text your governor your problems or tune into ABS radio on a Tuesday evening to call in to his show and that your area would be immediately attended to or he'd explain to you why it hasn't yet been attended to.
Looking back, i think i understand better now why we Anambrarians didn't even say much online about Peter Obi, and that is because we were living so well and so fine we didn't even want outsiders to know how well we were enjoying 😅. That's the only plausible explanation i can give.
We didn't give this man enough PR, although it is not entirely our fault cos he loved to live a low-key lifestyle, but at the same time... we had our mouths filled with enjoyment.
If you knew how bad things were from the Mbadinuju era, you'd understand that Obi did so well we couldn't even believe our luck. I guess we felt that if we publicly praised him too much, it might get into his head and he'd probably stop doing all these good things for us because it was too good to be true. But here we are, trading words online with people wey we no even suppose dey talk to at all 😂
