Especially just for a riverdale cw style show to be edgy and different… the campiness and humor of the og is what made it iconic

@skyylike92 @lexirose321x Neither was the la movies but they still had the cartoony elements from the og like the monsters and scooby, also we haven’t seen enough to say it’s not cartoony. Mind you this is a story about a group of friends and their talking dog who solve mysteries with ghouls so

@lexirose321x I would imagine they are going to have to use some cgi at least for the ghosts and monsters but I think having a real dog who’s just animated when he speaks or eats a sandwich with shaggy is gonna be a bit jarring but idk

@plasticfiltr In all seriousness I think they did a great job redesigning Nefera and Skeltita specifically cause she was so plain looking in the og gen and it was lowkey a very stereotypical design like a bunch of other characters in g1
