Dolly Parton: The Compassion That Came From Humble Beginnings.

There is something deeply moving about Dolly Parton that goes beyond her extraordinary music. For those of us who admire her, perhaps the most enduring part of her story is not the fame, the records, the awards or the wealth, but the person she remained after all of them.

Dolly Parton’s greatness, to me, goes far beyond her extraordinary music. It is in the person she remained despite the fame, wealth and success. She came from poverty in rural Tennessee, from a large, humble family with little materially but rich in love, faith, resilience and family values. She never seemed to forget those beginnings. Instead, she carried them into her music and her life.

That is why her songs resonate so deeply. She sang about love, heartbreak, hardship, loneliness, hope and the struggles of ordinary people—not merely as a performer, but as someone who understood them. Her music gave dignity to people who were often overlooked.

Her compassion seemed to flow naturally from her upbringing. Even at the height of her success, she retained a remarkable warmth, humility and generosity, particularly toward children, the poor and those in need.

I admire Dolly Parton not simply because she became a great musician, but because success never made her forget where she came from. She turned her humble beginnings into music (Coat of Many Colors) that comforted millions and a life that continues to inspire.

For me, that is her greatest song: the sound of a good heart that never forgot its roots.

May God Almighty, who made her such a compassionate soul, grant her soul eternal rest. -PO

BREAKING‼️ :Gruesome Murder of our Missionary, Daughter, Son In-Law and the Surviving Grand Daughter

Last week, precisely on Friday, we got heavily hit. Our Missionary was murdered, along with his daughter and son in-law. His three-month old granddaughter survived the attack with a bad injury on her head having been slashed with a machete.

Our Missionary was on transfer to a new Mission Field. His daughter and her husband decided to accompany him to see his new Mission Field.

They left home happily. His wife was to join them the following day with their properties and their other children. It was all hail and hearty, as they were full of expectations, assuming an entirely new Mission Field and location. They left a day ealier, primarily to prepare for the arrival of the remaining family members the following.

This was not to be.

On their way, they were ambushed by Fulani terrorists and hacked to death.

What is most disturbing is how they slashed the head of the three-months old baby, for what evil i do not understand. This baby is currently in the hospital, with a very slim hope of survival.

This evening again, one of our Missionaries in the South-West was kidnapped from his farm.

Missions in Nigeria is growing, but the danger that comes with it, is both real, brutal and enduring.

In spite of this attack, it is a sure evidence that we are winning and souls are being won to Christ through a tumultuous period.

One thing that we must keep in mind is that, it may appear as if we are losing the battle but the truth is we are actually winning the war - this is, essentially, the most important piece of the pain we have to endure.

The hope still remains, that light shines even brighter when it is darkest.

We bury the couple tomorrow and the Missionary on Friday. Pray with the families.

WE HAVE BEEN KILLED ENOUGH TO GIVE UP HAVING TRAVELED FAR FURTHER FROM THE RED LINE.

Who is going to listen to the cries of families whose beloved members are being killed, maimed, wounded, and internally displaced in a country not at war?

Regrettably, we have now normalised the fact that our nation bleeds with everyday bloodshed.

Again, the headlines today screamed of more bloodshed, with 15 people killed in Sokoto, 6 killed in Kwara, and over 600 Nigerian citizens from Niger state still missing since the flooding are now been presumed dead. How much more can we take?

Yesterday it was 10 in Anambra, and before then 37 people were killed in Yobe. Who will listen to our pain? Who will hear the silent cries of a nation waking up every morning to news of bloodshed, sorrow, and loss with families scattered in IDP camps?

We are living through a nightmare. We no longer have the strength to cry. We just wake up and ask, “How many people have been killed today”. Another village. Another family. Another mass grave.

We are tired.
We are broken.
Nigerians are living in fear of steady insecurity. When will it end?

We cannot survive much longer like this. May we, as a country, now take the security of life seriously? Not with words or empty condolences, but with action. Because no nation moves forward while its people live in fear of dying every day.
