Overall, this means that Dante is far more insane than Andrew, as Andrew holds no beliefs or anything that would cause them extreme delusions.. they kind of grasp the concept of what they are, but Dante is just completely lost in madness and religious delusion.
Adding on to this, I think Dante would be so far into religious psychosis that he'd delude himself into believing that Andrew is his saviour, likely, also sent by God to make him still feel human, considering the power he now holds as the stareater..
So unlike Andrew, who imo sees being the Stareater as something vile but is inevitably driven into madness by it, Dante just grows an ego fueled by a religious belief... because he was chosen by God to be this..!
I keep thinking about swap startide.. and I genuinely believe that if Dante's religious belief was really highlighted, he'd most believe that he became what he is by the will of god...
