Perhaps it's been more luck than skill to this point as he has only amassed the 4th lowest amount of points. But they say Defense wins championships and it seems that other teams can't get through his pesky defense. At 6-2 Watson leads the league going into the final stretch.
And in first, that only leaves everyone's favorite, Luke Watson. The 4 RB strategy has paid dividends for the commissioner with Ekeler, Swift, Henderson, and then trading Najee Harris for a QB and WR help.
After being saved by a league veto earlier in this season when he tried to trade Deebo Samuel and Devin Singletary for the injured Christian McCaffrey, Tommy is flying ahead of just about everyone. The question is, does he have a repeat in him?
In second, last year's champion has caught fire again. At 5-3 Tommy's not so injured "Injured Reserve" team is leading the the league in points scored.
In 3rd, "The Other Dorsch" - Just played against Brett Kramer's team. Managed by Luke Baehman, this team has been a force. Somehow they've lost 3 times, but they are always the favorite going in to any matchup.
He even went so far as to Josh Allen on his bye week, and still picked up the W against the lackluster team managed by Scott Gorsuch. Led by Allen, Kupp, and Zeke this team has been formidable and looks like a near lock for a playoff run.
In 4th "Team Wunderlich" ( you can probably guess who manages this one). At 5-3, Mr Wunderlich has taken the Laissez - Faire approach. Just letting his draft picks take charge and sort things out themselves.
But bad news broke this week with Calvin Ridley stepping away from the game for a bit. We'll see if Aaron Jones can return to 2020 form and carry this team onwards.
In 5th, the other rookie Grossman heralds his team "Scooter's Dawgs". The Dawgs certainly have been playing like it. Just a well rounded team with no real stand out players, Scooter's Dawgs have worked themselves into a 5-3 record.
Our middle man is manager Fassbender. Leading the "I'd Do Anything Ferda Stars", Fassy has managed a respectable 5-3 record. Fassy has been wheeling and dealing. Securing Eli Mitchell, Antonio Brown, and CEH, he has built himself a stellar team.
Unfortunately that fire was carried on the back of Derrick Henry who now looks to be out for a while, if not the season. Perhaps Michael Carter can pick up the slack, but the Outlook is not great. The consolation bracket seems to be the route for them.
The saddest story of the 2021 season is our number 7 team. After a very mediocre start to the year David Sell's tried and true "No Pen in the Playoffs" team has started to catch π₯.
Treml has recently strengthened his RB core by adding the stud rookie Najee Harris to pair with Alvin Kamara. We'll see if this can propel him to a playoff birth, or if it will be more of the same.
At number 8, last year's 12th man. Making vast improvements from last season, Mr. Treml has turned "Randy Does Something Inappropriate For Fun" into a reasonable team. An early season favorite, but has dropped off a bit.
Now on to the real contenders. At number 9 is the rookie Glocke. With his team "I don't know what I'm doing" he has shown that he actually does have some inclination for what he is doing. At 4-4 Glocke is well positioned to compete for a playoff spot.
After attempting some slick deals, Manager Gorsuch hasn't been able to secure the running back help he desperately needs. Or perhaps an Oshkosh alum is just destined to finish last again. Still a lot of games left, perhaps he can turn it around and sneak into the playoffs.
Coming in at number 10 with a record of 2-6 is "Colan's **** Fissures". After starting on top of the world and leading the circuit after week 2, the team with a rather unfortunate name has gone on to lose 6 straight.
