Totally agree with most of your take.
Jobs are a gamble for security these days, with companies ditching loyalty for profits.
Your belief in owning cash-flowing assets is great especially with over 950k layoffs this year and AI shaking things up.
But could being an "intrapreneur" inside a company still fly, depending on the spot?
Seems better in private companies than public ones obsessed with shareholders, where buyouts and new bosses can wipe out 20-year employees.
Private do those things as well but full-on entrepreneurship isn't for everybody.
Their are huge risks that can crush you.
For lots of people, just being scrappy at your job, innovating or climbing, is smarter: use their resources without the solo grind.
Whatβs your view on this, Can intrapreneuring lead to C Suite Positions?
You are not totally wrong.
Yes AI is going to be very disruptive it already is but what you are not thinking of is the industries and jobs that will be created over the next couple of years because of AI.
I also do agree with you on Corporate America.
You are number to them on a spread sheet at the end of the day.
Its up to you to determine if you want to continue down that route or not.
If you have the ability to work for yourself or know of an opportunity you can get in on do it.
Either seek equity in a company like PBD has mentioned or start your own company.
@Codie_Sanchez Well said.
I see it myself with people I use to hang out with.
They stopped working out and taking care of themselves and they just go to their 9-5 job to coast.
To me that's death by a thousand cuts for the rest of your life
If this AI bubble bursts, it could wipe out a lot of companies relying on platforms like OpenAI, especially with $5 trillion at stake.
Only the strongest players would survive, and a lot of these overhyped AI startups might disappear overnight due to unsustainable costs and lack of returns.
@VivekGRamaswamy At the end of the day is their really a way to " regulate " AI so the average person does not get screwed?
Also, do you think AI will be creating new industries over the next 5-10 years and help create new careers for people?
@RezidesonX@RayDalio Yup! Thats where were at right now.
We can't rely on our politicians to come and save us.
It us up to us at this point to save ourselves unless they make some dramatic changes which we all know they won't.
@ruidiao@RayDalio I would say that AI can help build models and help find ways to cut, but at the end of the day its up to the politicians to make the changes.
AI can only do so much
No matter who is in office, I feel that we are heading off a cliff financially.
It's only a matter of time before the US takes a real nose dive if something doesn't change soon.
The only thing we can do is prepare for that scenario while also praying that it doesn't happen.
At the end of the day you can't rely on the government to come and save you.
You got to save your self!

Lots of noise out their on the internet these days.
Sometimes its hard to figure out who to believe since their is so much noise.
@MarketerSamm@thejustinwelsh Yes!
I would rather execute and master the basics over and over rather than trying to master the complex.
Once you master the basics and do it each day the complex will become more simple over time.
