Wow wow wow -- some great new @BluebrixxG #StarTrek models just went up ahead of forthcoming preorders including a tricorder and hypospray, many Starfleet and alien ships, and characters!
Thanks @skyrahfall for the spot!

I love how this establishing shot of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay in #StarTrekSNW's "Ad Astra Per Aspera"⬆️ closely mirrors a similar shot seen in the Director's Cut of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"⬇️. :-)
Heard rumors that “Balance of Terror” on the Strange New Worlds UHD was 4K, so I bought it to check. Turns out it is 1080p, but has a higher bitrate (24 vs 15 Mbps) and a slightly larger size on disc (9 vs 7 GB), which gives slightly more detail on the SNW disc than the 2009 set.
Here's a comparison of the footage from "Encounter at Farpoint" used in #StarTrekPicard's "The Bounty" to show how much actually had to be cut off to fit the screen size. By the by, this whole sequence also appears in fan favorite "Shades of Gray" Riker does remember that moment!
David C. Fein, the producer of STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE - THE DIRECTOR'S EDITION explains why the Director's Edition is not a "director's cut" but is actually the complete, definitive version that Robert Wise originally intended. #StarTrek

@EganLA One of the reasons I don’t do video, viscomping is pretty boring until you discover some tiny change that has slipped by the first 3 times you compared them.
