Today, I received the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu and his entourage on a courtesy visit. We are pleased that the Nigerian Army decided to celebrate its anniversary in our State which reaffirms the fact that our State is safe and secure.

We used the visit to assure the Nigerian Army of our consistent support as they have assisted in improving revenue generation for our dear country by reducing pipeline vandalism and oil bunkering.

Gunmen have k*lled Major General Hassan Ahmed, a senior Nigerian Army officer, and abducted his wife in the Abaji area of Abuja.

The attack occurred while the couple was returning from Okene, Kogi State. According to reports, the assailants opened fire on their vehicle, k*lling the general on the spot. The driver survived by pretending to be dead. The gunmen then took the officer’s wife from the scene.

Before his death, Maj. Gen. Ahmed served as a director at Army Headquarters after being appointed by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya. He previously held the role of Provost Marshal of the Nigerian Army.

I thank God and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Akwa Ibom State for the peaceful governorship primary election and for nominating me as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election with 392,653 votes.

I also received my Certificate of Return from the State APC Primary Elections Committee, and I am pleased to announce that my Deputy, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, will remain my running mate in the 2027 election.

This victory is a call to greater service to our people. In the last three years, we have made steady progress in roads, healthcare, education, agriculture, aviation, tourism, rural development, and the ARISE Compassionate Homes initiative. By the grace of God, we will continue to build on these achievements and complete the many ongoing projects across our State.

I appreciate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, the leadership of our party, and all Akwa Ibom people for their love, trust, and support.

We’ve just watched a man DARE to tell an ARMY GENERAL that they made a mistake in arresting Justice CRACK . He urged them to release him and called for a good relationship between the military and its people .

There are a lot of things happening and people can’t even inform the military cus they see them as blôódy civilians . There must be friendship and a relationship so the people can trust them .

Justice Cracks will be FREE . Never forget VDM took the matter to the main office and told them they did wrong .

VDM has washed his hands so clean that he dined with the ELDERS .

While you are on media calling him names and insulting he had to swear on his honor that the man arrested is a great man .
