We're thrilled to announce the brand new version of https://t.co/YCtvnxuqLx; the modern statistics package for a new generation of social scientists. Here's what's new:
We now offer Varimax, Promax, Quartimax, Equamax, Simplimax, and Oblimin rotation methods, and have added statistics on item 'uniqueness', and component 'variance' to the results too.
π’ Good news! We've revamped Principal Components Analysis so we now support more rotation methods and provide even more useful statistics in the output...
π’ McDonald's Omega has just landed in @StatsCloud!
You can now find this under the Reliability Analysis section in our new 'R analyses' screen.

It's always a pleasure to attend the #ATSiP conference each year. Here's @DrDanGurney walking us through the new tools to write your own analysis modules - coming soon!
To celebrate the introduction of our new R analysis modules, here's a blog post from @DrDanGurney explaining what it means for the app: https://t.co/ymoE4Dkg0G
Our release notes outline all the new features added in our latest update (0.9.8.0). There's a lot of good stuff here, so do take a look if you'd like to know more: https://t.co/Xx6yPSGBnk
In the future, we'll use this user-interface for the classic analyses (using our own statistics library) and for Python analysis too. In the meantime, we'd love to hear your feedback! π
π’ Big news: R analyses have arrived in StatsCloud! π
Now, when you go to run an analysis, you'll see this lovely new button that will open up a suite of analyses all written and executed in R. Go on, give it a go! https://t.co/2E7D9LdQUy
We've added in more tests (including Logistic Regression, ANCOVAs) more follow-up tests, and many more are on the way. This R integration opens up some huge possibilities for the app!
@chaos_or_commun Ah, that makes sense. Thanks very much for letting us know. We'll double check this and ensure that the app copes with frequent resizing/rotating windows. Great that you figured it out though! π Thanks - Dan
To celebrate the new year, here's the latest blog from @DrDanGurney outlining exactly what you can expect from https://t.co/YCtvnxuYB5 in 2025...

If you'd like to deploy your own instance of StatsCloud, we've revamped the documentation that walks you through the process of doing so. Take a look! - https://t.co/OlMSZRezmE
Here's how StatsCloud helps people learn how to code. As you use the app, it generates live code showing you how you replicate everything you've done in a programming language and then run it in a live terminal! π€― https://t.co/XGn18eXSjG #statistics
At the start of the year, we announced three big features we're working on for StatsCloud (widgets, project sharing, and analysis modules).
Here's how that's going: https://t.co/uU1i6Go2tC
StatsCloud was designed to be a stepping stone towards learning a programming language, not a substitute for it. The app puts users on a clear pathway to learning well-known statistical programming languages (1/2): https://t.co/XGn18eXSjG
