Did you know?  || In 2021, the City of Johannesburg recorded 187 964 manufacturing jobs, accounting for 17,2% of the national manufacturing workforce. Ekurhuleni contributed 15,4%, the City of Cape Town 14,1% and eThekwini 12,5%. In total, manufacturing enterprises registered for value-added tax (VAT) employed
1,1 million individuals nationwide that year.
