Today I was dealing with the small but annoying setups like domain DNS records for the emails, adding informational texts here and there and fixing typos.

These stuff seem small, but do take a lot of time. Learned some new stuff about email sending as well - add a DMARC DNS record to help your emails not go to spam folders.

For consistency sake. Did some testing, things look good. Thinking about how I'm going to market this. Is it a real problem people are willing to pay for a solution?

To be honest, nothing much to share. I have a day job and I build this after hours, so it takes its toll. Took the Sunday off for a bit of creativity leisure - public talking course, niche concerts. Feeling refreshed and ready to continue pushing.

In the meantime, I'm using Google's new Antigravity to code the app. It is doing quite well. I did run into some problems by rushing it too much, though. Meaning I got too excited and made it code huge chunks of code. Not good.

Other than that it is going good. Almost ready to start testing it and send to some beta users.

Building a #Shopify spam filter: Day 1

I've been looking for a "do one thing" type of idea for quite a while now. Recently I found out there is a quite annoying problem of promotional spam.

Without adding capcha to the contact form it is awful, but even with it, some people report receiving 30+ emails per day with SEO, marketing and other promotions.

I am making Shopify app to solve this. To be frank, it seems strange to me that it does not exist. There are some options, but I couldn't find something solving exactly this problem.
