Today marks the anniversary of the founding of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits. On Sept. 27, 1540, the Pope approved the order, founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola and his companions. Nearly 500 years later, its mission of faith, education, and service continues to inspire.

Today we celebrate the feast of the Canadian Martyrs, eight Jesuit missionaries whose courage, faith, and service continue to inspire us. As a Jesuit school, we strive to be people for and with others and to live out our values each day.
