A couple of temporary road closures this morning in the City for infrastructure repairs:
A portion of Napier Street, from Welland Avenue to Elizabeth Street, is closed for a hydrant repair.
A portion of Haig Street, from Perry Street to Ventura Drive, is closed for sewer work.

Good morning STC, a quick winter control update for you to unroll here: The snowfall warning has ended, but we're still seeing some of the white stuff. City crews are fully deployed, dealing with fresh snowfall overnight and any lingering issues on primary routes and secondaries.

💧 Flamingo Avenue is closed from Oriole Drive to Tamarack Avenue for a watermain repair.
💧 Parnell Road is closed between Bishops Road and Niagara Street, also for a watermain repair.

City crews are working on repairing a large watermain break at the corner of Niagara Street and Parnell Road. This may result not only in water service disruptions for some, but also some loss of pressure in the surrounding areas. Please be patient as crews repair the issue.

⛔ Bridge 11 (Hwy 20) will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Jan. 25 and 26 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.

Let’s talk snow St. Catharines! Environment Canada upgraded its alert to a snowfall warning, with the forecast projecting 10-15 cm of snow starting Wednesday morning through to the evening. City crews will monitor the forecast and are prepared to respond based on the conditions.
Winter weather is on the way – with Environment Canada warning of the potential for significant snowfall late Wednesday into Thursday. The special weather statement warns of the possibility of snowfall of anywhere from 10-20 cm.

1/2- Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the City, and our crews will be monitoring the weather conditions and ready to respond. A few millimetres of freezing rain is possible on some surfaces starting early Tuesday morning.
