Q4 week 4
Coach was happy that Ghost stood up for Sunny because it showed he was making friends with the team and the newbies dinner worked out well. I think it’s important to stick up for yourself because no one will always be there for you and you need to be independent.
Castle tries to run away from who he is because he wants to forget about his dad, his past and hide it. Castle wants to be one of the ’the greatest’ and give back to his Ma, who has worked very hard he whole life after his father got sent to jail.
Q.4:Both their dads have committed bad deeds. They both grew up in Glass Manor, have struggling families and haunting memories. It’s harder to come from a disadvantaged background as you don’t have all the equipment, but you might push yourself to do harder things than others.
Week 4 Q.6 answer
Ghost wanted to stay on the team because he was starting to really enjoy running and hanging out with his new friends. It meant a lot to him because he never opened up to anyone except Mr Charles and his mom.
Q4
Ghost didn’t get a uniform because he got the slip saying he STOLE the silver bullets when he was caught. He really regrets stealing the shoes and feels guilty. I think it is fair that he misses out on the uniform because he did a bad thing so he should face the consequences.
W4 Q8
Ghost felt very proud, powerful, excited and special in his Defenders uniform. He also thought that his uniform was super awesome. Ghost felt better about himself, he accepted his past and was striving for his future.
W4 Q10:
We feel the main themes of the story ‘Ghost’ are honesty, identity and friendship. We give this story a 10 out of 10 because it was realistic and ended with an exciting cliffhanger. It made us feel like we were in the story ourselves.
Q7
Coach Brody took Ghost back to the Everything Sports store because earlier, he had stolen the silver shoes. They had to go back so Ghost could say sorry for stealing the shoes, but as he had already worn them Coach Brody bought them for him too.
Q3 We think that Coach was suspicious about how Ghost had those fancy silver shoes. Ghost was constantly looking over his shoulder to see if the police were there. He was feeling guilty and anxious after he stole them. Coach probably wondered how his mother could afford these.
Q2 Ghost earns his teammate's respect by not giving up and being persistent. Part of that was when he showed up at practise having those new silver shoes. We think that to be a good runner you need to be committed, resilient and not be afraid to fail.
Q5 Coach wanted to take the newbies to dinner because it was a team building experience and bonding time. He is a good coach because he made Ghost do running and he is now starting to enjoy it.
Q4 Karma means when you do something good or bad, the thing you did comes back to you like a boomerang. Ghost received good karma when he defended Brandon as he then got an apology from Shamika.
