One of the biggest mistakes I see families make is waiting until a coach invites them for a visit.

Here’s the truth:

You don’t need an offer to start learning if a school is the right fit.

Take unofficial visits. Walk the campus. Eat in the dining hall. Explore the academic buildings. See the surrounding community. Watch how the athletes interact with each other.

Ask yourself:
✅ Can I picture myself living here for four years?
✅ Does this campus feel like home?
✅ Does this school offer the major I’m interested in?
✅ Is this an environment where I can grow on and off the field?

Visiting schools early helps you:
• Narrow your college list.
• Save time and money by focusing on schools that truly fit.
• Ask better questions when coaches start recruiting you.
• Walk into recruiting conversations with confidence because you’ve already done your homework.

Remember…

The recruiting process isn’t just about a coach choosing you.

It’s about YOU choosing the place where you’ll spend the next four years of your life.
