Hi everyone! The STC HealthMed SIG has been on a bit of a hiatus and is in need of new leadership. Anyone interested in playing an active role in shaping this group? If so, please send a message, and we can get a conversation going. @STC_Summit#stc2020#stc20
@Luana_Shafer Agreed with all of the above!!! It is really hard, but you are ready for it! And enjoy it all too—new people, profs, so much learning. Also football games!! PhD life isn’t all work! Take some fun in too!
On student education needs today: students don’t just need new tools but also need to learn how to “dig deep” when addressing problems. Students need to ask and answer questions like: What are we really doing here? What are the opportunities to impact the deeper layers? #stc19
If you are at #stc19 and available Monday night, remember that the Annual Business Meeting needs you. The @stc_org is as strong as the membership and attending lets you hear from, and speak to, the Board of Directors about the year gone by and the year ahead. Please attend.
The #StrengthsInProgress Series is soon to be underway. If and interviewer were to ask you what your greatest weakness is, what would your answer be? DM @STC_GMU your answer and well share it anonymously so that professionals in Tech Comm can help you out.
Attending CCCC and / or ATTW this year? Please join us at the variety of RHM activities and events available, including meeting with the editors of the Rhetoric of Health & Medicine journal, the RHM Happy Hour, and the Med Rhet SIG Business Meeting.

@ekalodnermar @breeannem What a fascinating topic! We have a few members attending the conference who have done work about patient agency in chronic illness. #medrhet we will check out your panel!
