You notice how many people keep a school running the moment one of those jobs isnโt covered. A late bus changes the morning. A cafeteria shortage changes lunch. A custodial gap can change whether a space is usable. An absent aide can change what a student is able to access that day.
Teacher appreciation deserves plenty of attention. So does the work happening everywhere else in the building. Students experience all of it, even when the people doing that work never appear on a report card.
