The CEO of Novo Nordisk $NVO, Mike Doustdar, has revealed that the company is planning to seek regulatory approval for their oral Wegovy pill in China in the next few months.
It has already been approved in the US, the United Arab Emirates and the UK.
It's a quiet day on the UK market today, which is as to be expected with the US market closed today.
However I am still watching the price action of three companies in particular for a possible entry.
These are Molten Ventures #GROW, the Seraphim Space Investment Trust #SSIT and Primary Health Properties #PHP.
I already own the first two already, but wouldn't mind owning a few more if they continue to drop further because they are both trading on significant discounts to their revised net asset values (NAV) now.
I also like Primary Health Properties because although this is trading on a smaller discount, it is a fairly safe and dependable REIT that pays an 8% dividend.
I love to see that my friend Hunter (@HunterAllen4) is just as bullish about $CELH as I am.
Please give him a follow if you haven't already done so. He's one of the most generous supporters of small accounts in the community, and he posts some great content about undiscovered stocks that could be about to take off.
My eToro account was up 1.53% today and should be up around 28.8% YTD once the stats are updated tomorrow.
Meanwhile my Trading 212 ISA was up 1.1% and is now up 46.5% in 2026 so far.
The biggest winner by quite some distance was $CIFR, which I hold in both accounts. This was up 10.76%.
Other strong performers included $GRAB, up 3.77%, $IREN, up 3.18% and $AMZN, up 2.89%.
The biggest loser was UK-listed defence stock Defence Holdings #ALRT, which I hold in my ISA. This was down 11.76%.
The next biggest loser was the Seraphim Space Investment Trust #SSIT, but this was still only down 2.11%.
So overall it was a pretty good day today, and it was nice to see both accounts ticking higher.
Jefferies initiated coverage of $IREN today, and they went straight in with a buy recommendation and a price target of $79.
This isn't as high as some. For example, B Riley have a price target of $96 and Macquarie have a price target of $90.
However with the share price currently trading at $59, they still think there is a $20 profit here, which is more than 33%.
I'm invested in IREN for the long term, so I won't be selling at these kind of levels anyway, but it's nice to have these positive buy recommendations coming through.
There has been lots of good news for $AMZN today.
The headline news is that they are in discussions to sell their custom AI chips to other companies, which will therefore put them in direct competition with $NVDA.
It was also announced that AWS has entered into an agreement with advertising giant WPP to offer the use of agentic AI to businesses.
Finally, Amazon have continued their international expansion of Alexa+, as it is now available in Brazil.
The shares are currently trading 3.01% higher at $244.64 on the back of all this positive news.
My Trading 212 ISA went from being 3.1% higher to just 1.1% higher by the closing bell after the new Fed chairman's first press statement pointed to a possible rate hike in 2026.
As a result, my YTD performance is up to 44.9% now.
My eToro account didn't fare as well, though, and was down 1.27% in the end.
The main reason for the outperformance of the ISA was because of $NBIS, my largest holding, being up 5.96%. $BULL, another stock in this account, was also up 5.98%.
The Seraphim Space Investment Trust #SSIT was another strong performer, finishing up 4.25%, but the likes of $DKNG, $META, $MSFT and $AMZN all dragged my eToro account lower and into the red.
So a mixed day today, with one account up and one down, but I am at least seeing a lot more potential bargains after this latest sell-off.
I have today added one more ETF to my watchlist of space ETFs, and that's the WisdomTree Space Economy ETF #WSPG.
This ETF launched earlier this month, has an expense ratio of 0.5% per annum, and invests in companies that are involved in launch and infrastructure systems, commercial space services, space-based defence solutions, and emerging space technologies.
They are still building out the portfolio, and presumably saving some cash for $SPCX, which is why they have a 23% cash position, but there are some familiar names amongst their top holdings.
For example, it includes $RKLB, $ASTS, $FLY, $SATS and $LUNR, as well as a few non-US listed space stocks.
I probably won't be buying this ETF myself because it is very similar to the VanEck Space Innovators ETF #JEDG, which I hold already, but I thought it was still worth adding it to a watchlist.
$NBIS has today overtaken $GOOGL to become the largest position in my total portfolio (all accounts combined).
Nebius is now 12.72% and Alphabet is now 12.52%.
I never thought I would see the day when Alphabet wasn't my largest position, but today's the day after Alphabet has dropped 2.33% and Nebius has risen 6.81% to $283.15.
This is turning out to be one of my best ever investments, and although I know there will be sharp pullbacks along the way, I still feel that we are really early in the company's journey.
Novo Nordisk $NVO is currently the biggest pre-market gainer in my portfolio, trading 3.81% higher at $45.21.
Maybe the constant flow of good news that we have seen recently regarding regulatory approvals in the UAE and the UK for the Wegovy pill, and plans to get approved in China, is finally starting to be reflected in the share price.
$CELH closed above the key $30 level yesterday and for technical analysis fans, it also had a large green engulfing candle on the daily price chart, which is considered to be very bullish.
So hopefully we can start pushing on towards $40+ now after basing out between $27.50 and $30 recently.
Even at this price, the company trades on a forward P/E of just 15.4 and 13.6 for 2027 and 2028, which is not a high valuation for a company that potentially has years of growth ahead of them.
Analysts generally agree too as the average target price is around double the current price at $60.57.
Both of my main trading accounts finished marginally lower today, so my YTD performance is pretty much unchanged from yesterday.
- eToro account = 27.4%
- Trading 212 ISA = 42.6%
My biggest losers today were the small-cap UK stock #TERN, which was down 11.54%, $DGXX, which was down 4.13%, and Molten Ventures #GROW, which was down 3.24%, all of which I hold in my ISA.
My biggest winner was another of my UK small-caps, Defence Holdings #ALRT, which was up 6.45%, $CELH, which was up 4.45%, and $NBIS, which was up 1.93%.
So it was a fairly quiet day today on the eve of the Fed's interest rate decision and statement tomorrow, which may result in a little more volatility.
There was some good news for Webull $BULL shareholders today, and indeed for any Canadian investors who use Webull.
The company announced that Webull Canada are launching 24/5 overnight trading for US equities.
This follows on from the news that they have launched the Webull Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which will help their customers to interact with Webull's OpenAPI without any programming knowledge.
They also announced at the start of the month that mutual funds are now available for IRA accounts (for US users).
So this global online broker is definitely moving in the right direction, and I am happy to remain invested in them for the long term, despite the price still trading slightly below my average entry price.
Alibaba $BABA is starting to look really attractive now after falling from a high of around $190 to $110.
It is now trading on a forward P/E of 19.5 for the year ending March 2027, which is still quite high, but this is predicted to fall to 13.5 in 2028 and 9.46 in 2029 based on strong forecast earnings growth.
The company announced today that they are rolling out a suite of AI models that will help robots understand and perform real life tasks better, so this will help them fulfil their physical AI ambitions.
They are also becoming one of China's top AI and cloud infrastructure providers, which should result in strong revenue growth for years to come.
I don't have a position in this one yet, but I have done in the past, and I wouldn't mind getting back in if the price continues to fall much more.
My Trading 212 ISA account went up 4.2% yesterday, and is now up 42.7% in 2026 so far.
The biggest winners were two of the AI data center stocks in my portfolio.
$DGXX finished 12.5% higher, which is a little frustrating because I'm still trying to build a position in this one, and $NBIS, my largest holding in this account, finished 11.93% higher.
Some of the other strong performers were $CIFR, up 6.24%, $BULL, up 4.89%, $GRAB, up 4.85%, and $META, up 4.67%.
The biggest loser, and the only holding that finished lower, was the VanEck Space Innovators ETF #JEDG, which was down 5.45%.
So overall it was an excellent day, and I'm obviously delighted to have broken through the 40% profit level for the year.
It was great to wake up to the news that a peace deal has been agreed.
As expected, the markets are trading higher on this news, with the S&P 500 up 1.22% overnight and the Nasdaq up 1.92%.
This really seems to have helped the AI infrastructure stocks in my portfolio.
$NBIS is currently trading 7.42% higher at the moment, while $IREN is up 5.2%, $DGXX is up 4.49% and $CIFR is up 3.88%.
Other stocks making moves pre-market include $NVDA, up 2.71%, as well as $CELH and $BULL, which are both up around 2%.
Let's hope we can hold onto these gains when the market opens later on.
My watchlist of potentially undervalued US stocks has got a lot longer since last weekend.
I have since added several new stocks to this list (shown below), which includes the space stocks $ASTS and $RKLB, and two of my existing holdings, $AMZN and $MSFT.
It also includes $PLTR, $BABA, $NOW, $ORCL and a brand new name to me that I am still researching - $SHAZ.
The two Chinese stocks Alibaba and PDD are two of the most undervalued names on my watchlist.
However I think I am probably most likely to add some more $META, $MSFT, $NVDA or $CELH shares at these levels, and I would love to buy some $NOW shares if they drop into the 90's.
I also want to buy some more shares in $DGXX if possible.
Is the bottom now in for $CELH?
It is certainly starting to look that way if you look at the price chart of Celsius.
It appears to have formed a nice double bottom pattern, and is just starting to bounce off its lows after a strong day on Friday.
If we can get back above the 50-day EMA at just under $32 first of all, and then break above the most recent high at around $33.50, then we could hopefully rally to $40+.
This would be more representative of the company's true value, in my opinion, based on fundamentals.
Novo Nordisk's $NVO oral Wegovy pill just saw a big jump in sales, increasing from 134,000 in week 21 to 159,000 in week 22.
Fierce Pharma have been tracking the sales of both Wegovy and Foundayo, the rival pill from Eli Lilly $LLY, over time, and based on the early sales figures, it looks like Wegovy continues to be the clear winner at the moment.
Plus they also have first mover advantage in the UAE, the UK, where they have recently won approval for the pill, and where sales of oral Wegovy are also expected to be very strong.
It's a very light earnings calendar this week as the Q1 reporting season draws to a close.
This means that all eyes will be on $SPCX and the ongoing developments between the US and Iran, before the market switches its attention to the interest rate decision and policy statement on Wednesday.
The US markets will be closed on Friday, which means that it's a shortened trading week, but it's still likely to be an exciting one despite the lack of earnings results.
