@Baddiel @stephenfry Book of the Year I say

[David Baddiel @Baddiel]

The great @StephenFry just sent this to my publishers, about Jews Don't Count. I feel a bit breathless, tbh.

Volunteering is 4 times blessed

It benefits receiving people & nature
It improves health of volunteers (who live 2 years longer)
It undermines the idea that waged labour is all that matters
It is low carbon

Volunteering also does not appear in measures of GDP

[Stephen Connolly @SteveConnolly3]

My first 'official' visit to Lake 32 yesterday as writer in residence. No rain and I had the place to myself for a first reconnaissance, recording what I could, mostly coots and the oddly sinister rattle of cables against masts...

The map’s richness deepens - creating palimpsest

[The Outposted Project @outposted1]

Stunning work on our #Stroud map from Zoe Heath - 'during my Outpost, time stood still. I relished my daily walks exploring unfamiliar parts of the landscape where I live. I began to see a juxtaposition of shapes, a patchwork of fields/boundaries through #collage.'
