@WallStreetApes That 25% tip doesn’t even go to the servers. You should just consider it like a fee. The reason that there is an extra tip line on the receipt is that you can actually tip the server. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
Working hard? Have you been on a flight recently? Any flight that is domestic/short-haul has one drink service at best. The job is not inherently difficult. Frankly, the most stressful part of it is dealing with idiot, self-entitled, clueless passengers. The fact is that their primary responsibility is to manage passengers in the unlikely event of an emergency. 99% of FA training is dedicated to what to do in case of an emergency, and yet, because flying is by far the safest way to travel, 99% of FA workload is not much different than say a front desk worker at a hotel. FA’s get decent travel perks, especially with seniority, a flexible schedule (especially with seniority), very good benefits (ESPECIALLY with seniority). You could argue that it’s the union itself that is costing FA’s in their pursuit of higher pay. Other than, of course, those FA’s with a lot of seniority. it’s a largely unskilled job that shouldn’t require a living wage at the entry level. However, if one chooses to gain seniority and ultimately make it a career, the pay, the perks, and the retirement benefits are pretty damn good.
Wait, what? First you say fire the visa workers then hire the visa workers? I’m so confused. And what about Mastercard? What should we do with their workers? I get it that Discover Card is fucked, regardless, but why does everyone forget about Mastercard? And before you say anything, American Express is a charge card not a credit card. Those who know, know.
I’m curious. How exactly are you getting the idea that Trump is Pierre’s idol? I mean that seems like pretty important new information and I haven’t seen that so if you have source that point that out, I would really love to see it. I mean, that would be a big change because up until this ground breaking news that you have brought to my attention. The reality is that they hate each other. And I use the word reality because I have seen it firsthand, and, now that I think about it, I’ve heard it firsthand too. I would say that the only two things that Pierre and Trump have in common is that they whine when they don’t get their way and that’s really annoying. The second thing that Pierre and Trump have in common is that they buy their suits from the same tailor on Savile Row in London. Come to think of it so does Mark Carney
Wow. This is good stuff. Can you explain what you mean? I really want to understand your point of view better because maybe I am missing something. On what basis is Pierre a con man? How exactly did he cheat to be leader of the Conservatives? Do you have new information that debunks the debunking we already did? I mean it’s only a few days until the election and it sounds like you have something important to say. I would just love to hear it instead of capitalizing a bunch of letters in a post that mean nothing. Cool. Good talk.
Hey Stewie, buddy, pal it’s not a lie. Carney has been very clear about this that the carbon tax is going to stay on goods that are manufactured in Canada. He’s only taking it away on what he says are the things that affect consumers. But here’s the thing, the carbon tax that will still be applied to corporations that manufacture stuff in this country is inevitably going to be passed along to consumers. Pierre is not lying. Carney just assumes you’re stupid.
It’s actually not a falsehood. It’s part of the liberals plan to keep the carbon tax on Canadian companies that manufacture shit. Which is then just gonna be passed on to the Canadian consumer so the lie is coming from the mouth of your beloved Mark Carney when he says that he’s eliminating the consumer portion of the carbon tax. That’s just bullshit. You should try some math sometimes I highly recommend it. It helps a lot.
Really? Everything he says? Can you please share some examples? I would really love to see that. Maybe I am missing something. Personally, I have not heard Pierre (or Mark for that matter) calling Canadians stupid. Maybe I’m being obtuse but I just don’t see anything remotely close to what you are saying. Again, happy to be proven wrong, but it seems to me that it’s Mark that really insults are intelligence as Canadians by not willing to share his personal financial situation insinuating that it’s too complicated for us to understand. But that was just my take.
Question - can you help point me toward the evidence that Pierre’s claims are outright lies or innuendo? I would love to understand your position better. Also, can you point me toward anything Carney has promised that will actually help the average Canadian? I’m genuinely curious because maybe I have missed something. One more question - if I promise to give you a dollar but then I ask you if I can borrow $2 from you so that I can give you the dollar I promised, is that a good deal for you? I’m not seeing it, but I’m happy to be proven wrong.
Really. Can you give an example of what he has lied about? I’m curious? What did you have to fact check? One more question, what exactly has Carney said where it has actually turned out to be what he said it is? Please help me. What am I missing? I want to believe you but to be honest so far I am seeing exactly the opposite of what you are seeing? Let’s figure it out.
OMG, seriously, do you people have nothing better to do? Every problem we have today is solvable. They always are. The reality is that for most people (not all, just most), it really does not matter who is in charge of Canada. Not a heck of a lot really changes and if it does, not for very long. And the reason is simple. The playbook that best suits this country in terms of how we operate domestically and with respect to foreign policy has two things going for it: 1. Our playbook is remarkably simple. We can run the same play over and over again, which is that we have an abundance of natural resources which allows us to be economically self sufficient, and more importantly, makes us a sought-after strategic trading partner, which we can use to our benefit. 2. Our playbook is highly effective. Even when the winds of the political spectrum blow too far one way or the other (if we get cocky or stupid and run too many trick plays), the effectiveness of the core of our playbook (abundance of natural resources) can simply be dusted off. So please stop with the retarded hyperbole. Canada is not fucked. Far from it. We just need to stop the carbon flea-flicker and get back to doing what we do best. Invest in, monetize, nurture and maintain our most valuable assets. Natural resources and the Canadian people.
@mark_slapinski@realDonaldTrump God I hope so. Any Canadian should want the same. Answer this, why should law abiding Canadians and legal immigrants have to settle for illegals taking advantage of our hard earned tax dollars while we just accept that illegal immigrants can commit crimes with no repercussions?
You have to look at the context and the trade imbalance. For most countries, they will be next exporters to the US given the wealth and population of the US relative to most countries. The next thing to look at is the cost to produce. The reason why many of these countries even produce goods sold to the US is due to a comparative cost advantage. It’s pointless for the the US to put tariffs on goods like microchips that can be produced so much cheaper in Asia than in the US. The tariffs that many countries levy against US goods is meaningless in the context of an already massive trade imbalance. China is the obvious exception. The tariffs that Trump is enacting on Chinese goods are reciprocal and will have a meaningful impact on Chinese exports to the US. Trump is hoping that it will encourage China to lower or eliminate tariffs they have in place on US goods.
You have no idea what you are talking about. Canada imports about $350 billion worth of goods from the US. The US imports about $420Bn of goods from Canada. About $70bn of what the US imports is Oil from Alberta, which the US refines and then exports at a profit. So, aside from the Oil, from which the US MAKES money, the US and Canada are trade balanced.
Great. Except this exact same type of content has been done a million times. In my opinion, he is not doing this to educate her. He is doing it to humiliate her because her humiliation makes content for HIS benefit. If he was really trying to educate her about the law, he would not have needed a camera.
I didn’t say he was retarded for conflating the two. I was saying that it is unlikely he is doing a story about the credit union as he implied to “Karen” because if he was doing a story about it, he would know the difference. In my opinion, he was there merely to troll idiots and produce content we have all seen a million times.
I want to make this clear. The skills required to win an argument are not the same skills required to solve a problem. Yet we continue to elect our political leaders based on their ability to win arguments and then wonder why problems don’t get solved. #Politics#Leadership #ProblemSolving
@garygaric@AreOhEssEyeEe So let me get this straight. You have a problem with Ford threatening to cut off electricity to the US because he has signed contractual agreements, but it’s OK for the US to completely ignore signed trade agreements between the US Canada and Mexico by layering in tariffs?
